If you read the manual, it says that its the ABS engaging itself, and you might hear a clicking noise due to it.

no, wrong. i had the brake clicking noise from the pedal. it's normal, i told me dealer, they told me it was the sensor, they slightly adjusted it and it's gone. it's just your sensor

I agree with R2D2. With the low profile tires we have, it is really easy to bounce the wheel off the ground a little (no traction) so the ABS engages. It freaked me out the first time happened to me because I only step on the brake a little. Didnt expect it coming.

I had that noise twice, but it was under hard breaking. It happened two times that the light turned yellow from just far enough that I had to decide, "Break or speed up?". Anyways, yeah, it scared me the first time. ABS is better than it locking up though.

Thanks for the opinions guys and gals. very helpful. i dont think my brake pedal clicking problem is the abs self dianostic sound when you first take off in the morning or the abs system engaging when you have to brake hard. this is a brake pedal click everytime you aply the brake at any speed. i cannot accept this as normal because it never did this until about 5,000 miles. though this is a minor problem it is really quite annoying if you dont have your radio on. anybody else experience this problem?

yes i had this before.. turns out the brake light switch (top of the brake pedal) was making noise, dealer replaced it, adjusted it up.. no more noise.. could also feel a sort of click in the pedal when this would happen.. it took about 3-4k miles for it to show up..

nope, he got it, just like i stated earlier in the post, it's just the brake light switch, they will replace or adjust it, but they say that the clicking is normal
