I just got my tC last night and I love it so much. However, it sucks that I have to wait for so long (1000 miles) till I can find out what shes made of. I got the car with 1 mile, and its now at 55. The good news is, is that when I take it in next week to get my spoiler, ground effects etc. added on, I will get a loaner. Hopefully the loaner will be a tC and then I can open it up. Of course I doubt they have a tC loaner. Oh Well, this can be used for all the new owners to vent and post there mileage till they hit 1000.

So lets see, I'm at 55 now... ..I only need 945 more

Very common misconseption that you need to drive like a grandma for break in. Actually you should be driving the crap out of it every once in a while. I'm sure your engine is fine.

Well, Im only at 50ish so I might at least wait till 3-4 hundred. Could give me an excuss to go to parents this weekend, I twill be a slow drive up there but a fun one on the way back.

from what i was told by my dealer is that the car will get used to how it is driven witch sounds like bs but i dont know but i did open mine up every once in a while till i hit 1,000 now im almost at 4,000 and its alot of fun to drive

 

i'll say it again. when you break in the engine let it experience the full rpm range, and don't go for long periods of time at one rpm ie: a highway doing 55 the entire way

I have 280 miles on it, but I'm new to stick so I've already hit the limiter a couple times by accident, the scion dealer told me not to worry about it

hahaha... yeah, it would sound weird to you...

it basically means to floor it, rev it, drive it hard...ie open up the limits of the vehicle (and vehicles are girls)
so, open her up...

 

im at 500 miles. had the car for a week now. i get on it a little... take it to its full range but not aggressively. crusin is good for me hehe

 

Picked mine up July 3rd and now have 12,500 miles on it. I have a long commute to work every day. I'v done 3 oil changes (first one early) and a tire rotation. So far, car runs unbelievable. One of the best choices I have ever made.

I got my tC back in July and I just went over 20,000 miles yesterday -- and I still love driving it!
