i just got a underground kit ( lip kit ) for scion tc.
and looks really nice and i love it.

I have question fo yall.
If i have 18' rims with underground kit, are they gonna be too low ?

and i was thinkin should i get spring first or cai first ...

im sure about 99.9% of the tC owners will say springs soo.......!

if u gonna get springs get new shocks as well (mcgeorgeparts.com)
or coilovers...
cai = not worth it, altho i got the injen...

i also got the h-tech but not the lip kit...

Yeah i would say go with springs, but if you get springs your gonna have to get new shocks eventually so better off just spend the little extra and go coilovers if you can afford it

 

Yea i have the trd springs......but i also will be getting the trd shocks soon....get the springs.

 

depends on what you spend more time enjoying. if you want the sound and performance, cai, if you like straigthing corners, springs.

i got a trd cai and i love it because i spend alot of time on the interstate with little traffic so i love the extra pull it has.

 

but Htech doesnt drop as much so dont need for shock ...
i might need some strut thoe

 

You'll be fine on H Techs without struts, or at least for a long while.

Just get springs for now and struts when you can afford them.

 

i guess u dont need the shocks asap but somewhere along the line u gonna need it

i mean the quality of the ride...
it looks great but the feel is ehh...

18' rims are pretty big, probably won't fit on the car

 

but people have 19 with spring ...

 

get coilovers!

It's the drop and higher spring rate that cause the OEM struts to crap out.

Many, many people have 18"s on their tCs. *raises hand* Generally there are little/no rubbing issues with 18"s. 19"s and 20"s are another story though. You have to take into consideration how often you have people in your car, what the average condition of your roads are, any significant dips you cross often, etc. I plan on buying a set of Tein Basics when I start making money again (school is in full sail, so for now school > job)
