caliper question

Default caliper question

I was painting my calipers and on the top of the caliper when you go back a little further the rubber accordion looking pieces got painted...is this detrimental to anything or need i not worry...would like to know before i drive my car...thx in advance.

well thats good...i accidentally painted the living hell outta it, was hoping it didn't help with braking or nothin, don't wanna die.

Its a simple dust boot/shield to cover the slide pins. Nothing will happen if they get painted.

It should be ok. If you're still worried, just wait for it to dry, then drive around the block braking constantly so that the paint will not be in places it shouldn't be.
