I actually just figured out why mine had a bad vibration with the ac on. my in cabin air filter was completely clogged and dirty as a ****. I replaced it with a fresh one and BAM...no more shaking. Also my AC is a lot more colder and stronger.

I can't believe i forgot about that filter.

The other thing that could be happening is the variable timing could be changing - not sure how fast that can adjust - I would think it is pretty fast but maybe if it hangs up once in a while it could shake more until it adjusts for idle. Maybe try a few high rev down shifts to get some really high vacuum on the intake - that seems to loosen up my engine a little more . . . like a steep 4k rpm down hill run or off an exit ramp.

Wow the cabin filter blocked up making it shake hummm sounds like the evaporator was iced up and the compressor was over working.

I kid you not. That filter was straight up clogged. I could not believe how much nice the car runs at idle with the AC on and even when driving with the AC on. So much colder to.

I would think that the air would be pretty clean in Upstate NY but I bet it was organic matter from trees and vegetation. NOW imagine what would have happened if you didn't have the filter in there . . . pull the condensor out?

You are correct. I don't park in a drive way or on the street. We have this back lot behind our home which is both a dirt road and grass area and surrounded by trees. The dirt most likely comes from there, but you are correct, lots of items in the filter were from tree matter.

I just bought a 3M Filtrete air filter at walmart. Its usually 2'x2' or so. You can also find smaller ones. They are just general purpose filters and then i cut it down to size and fit it into the in cabin air filter holder.

They come in different sizes and styles depending on your purpose. Just remember not to buy a thick one or else air will not pass through and your AC will suffer.

my cars shakes like hell at idle with the a/c on. idles at 500 or so. i just figured that it was the lack of catalytic converter and the cold air intake. but im gonna check the cabin filter and stuff.
