Default Car Broken in to - Quick Question about Stock Door Alarm

Well my TC was broken into last night...I was wondering if a Stock TC, without any alarm upgrades, is suppose to at least Honk when the doors are opened without being unlocked by the key? If so, is this listed anywhere in the booklet?

Thanks for the help.

if you have no alarm, why would the car make a noise?

Usually stock cars without the alarm upgrades, like my previous cars, 05 Honda Accord, didn't have the alarm upgrade, but if you would try to open the door from the inside while the car was locked, it would activate the car horn and keep honking...

eh even if it did what would that do... How many car alarms went off that you ignored... Consider getting a 2way alarm....

Alarms are almost pointless since thieves are crafty nowadays
They know exactly how to cut when they have to...
They just get trained in certain procedures...
Well at least they didn't steal your car

Everyone keeps saying alarms are pointless. No they are not. Sure there are very good thieves out there that will by pass it, but an alarm should still be the first line of defense. If anything it will at least serve as a deterrent. A theif might think that going through the trouble of cracking your alarm is not worth it, and instead might look for an easier target.

An alarm can also prevent your car from being taken for a joy ride by stupid punk kids. These kids don't know crap about stealing cars and at the first sign of trouble they will run like they have fire crackers stuck up you know where.

So if you don't have an alarm, get one. But not the one offered by Scion. It would be a good system if it where $250 cheaper.
