Have any of you noticed that your apolstry is fading? My driver's front seat definately is and it sucks.

 

Try cleaning it. Might just be dust, dead skin, whatever...

 

Get darker windows.

I have had mine for 10 months now and I haven't noticed any fading of the interior. Though I do have 20% tint all around, park in the shade most of the time, and put a reflective sun blocker in the windshield while parked.

 

those are good tips. I already use a sun shade and didn't plan on tinting the windows but maybe it's a good idea...

 

I noticed when they get dusty that they start to look as though they are fading, also they do get stained easily from rain.

 

You open the sunroof when it's raining?

 

Yeah, once you steam clean your seats with hot water, the color will come back....

 

How do you do this.

 

Tint the car too. The sun can fade out color!

 

I'm in SoCal... we don't even have an ozone layer here and trust me... it's not the sun. It's the dust. Clean those _____es out. It's a new car... there's no way the color has faded yet.

Yea i will post pics of it, my driver seats look like its light black, but i am going to clean my car tomm, so i will see if this is a defect or just dirt.

 

I use a hot steam cleaner on my seats in the Xb and the "fading" is now gone. It is probably just dust and dirt.

 

give me the brand name of the steamer and where you bought it from and how much...

look for the model that heats up the water.

just use plain hot tap water- works great!

 

I don't know how much it was my wife got it through work but I do think it is a Bissell.

tC does stain easy, I have white stains from deodorant that will not come out, Im going to try one of these steam cleaners...
