Default Celica Parts on tC!

Hey, do any of you know if the suspension from a Celica will fit the tC, the brakes on the Celica GTS and the tC are Identical. Im almost thinking it's like Honda where we can mix and match everything to make it work

I was wondering because I would like a good set of shocks other than the TRD ones. But unfortuanately nothing is made for it yet.

What about Teins? They're out for the tC and alot of people have them and love them. I believe Eibach has them too along with a few others but I'd have to look them up.

I have the TEIN springs, I tried to get the TEIN basic coilovers but everyone in the country seemed to be out of stock and TEIN said that they wouldnt have more in stock for at least a couple of months.

I believe you can, look up the specs on the stock tC lines or measure them, then research the Celica ones. Im sure they would fit, but they may be located in different spots.

Weight of the car, height of the spring, spring rates, etc would all make a difference in which shock to choose. Since the Celica is definately a drastically different car, I wouldn't use (even if they fit) any shock from the Celica on the TC. Just my opinion, I might be completely full of poopie.

Well offcourse those things are a factor, but if the breaks are the exact same, then I dont see what the problem would be. You could buy a set of crossdrilled powerslot rotors for a celica and they would bolt on the tC. But like I said, research would have to be done in order to get a proper fitment, and to ensure that it would be safe.

I will look up some information on this, I will start with the OEM part dimensions for the tC and the Celica, and then go from there.

The brakes are exaclty the same. The suspension is almost identicle, but there is one guy on here that has a celica drop on his tC and he listed it as "modified Celica" suspension, as in, he had to make it fit. It's not a direct replacement like the brakes are.

i am a tech at the toyota/scion dealership in sandy utah, and the statement about the brake system on the tc and the celica gts is wrong. they are not the same. not even the same brake pads are the same. the tc and the celica GT howerver do share the same brake pads, AND THATS IT
