Cheap Insurance
Hey people! I'm yet still a Scion owner. I really want get the Scion tC but I found out that the insurance for me is so expensive. I was wondering if anyone knows anyone that might be cheaper with great coverage. I got a quote from ALLSTATE giving me a price of 6 months for 1.5K dollars. I'm still pretty young probably had jerk up the price for me at the age of 21. Anyone has any suggestions, I want to keep it at full coverage with deductible of 500 or so.
I have a perfect history since I was 16 so there gotta be some company willing to take me in cheap.

21st century. go to http://www.21st.com and their program will quote you instantly anonymously (well with a first name). they are a preferred provider so you can't have tickets or accidents. if you like the rate they have it set up to insure you instantly online as well. you just print out the proof and the policy comes a couple days later.
i payed just over $400 for 6 mos for full coverage, 500 ded, uninsured motorist coverage, towing, rental car.

I'm in Southern Cali, I'm 19,male, perfect driving record since I started driving when I was 16. I'm on my own policy, not my parents, I have a good student discount, and my insurance is 1200 a year through Mercury Insurance. I'm not sure if you have them up where your at, but you might want to check it out.
Unfortunately there's no one right answer to your question. You have to just go to different agents and get quotes. Everyone who replies here will tell you what they got, but that has little bearing on what you will get. For example, I have had AllState since I was 16. I am 25 now (single male), and I will pay $620/year for full coverage on a new 2006 tC (if it ever comes in). Perfect driving record (one run stop sign but that was 5 years ago), and I get every discount AllState has to offer for someone my age/gender. Obviously this won't apply to you, so just spend a week going to every agent in your area and getting quotes.

i have allstate... wow, 1500 is a hell of a lot... im surprised its so expensive... i have full coverage the works, no-insurance coverage... and $500 deductable with insured owners... and i pay about $900 a month, the agent i went to talk to... hooked it up. I have all these discounts on there, distinguished driver, good discount, ticket forgiveness(for my speeding ticket), anyhow... its more expensive when you call an agent on the phone... its a LOT more cheaper when you speak with an agent in person... so i would recommend that.
the.whoster:
A deductable is "your share" of what the insurance company has to pay for repairs. Lets say you get in an accident and it is going to cost $x,xxx to repair. Your share of the bill is your deductable. The higher your deductable, the lower your insurance because it means that the insurance company has to pay less for a repair because you are paying more.
I don't know about you guys but I only pay $480 every six months for full coverage and a hundred dollar deductable for collision and $0 deductable for everything else (uninsured motorist, glass, fire, theft ect.) I am 22, male, live in california and have State Farm Ins. It is so cheap because I have a good student discount (takes off a LOT of money), and a multiple vehicle policy.

Thanks for the idea to check 21st. I've had allstate for years.. but they quoted me $1400 for 6 months. I am older than 25, and never had an accident, have good credit... so I checked out 21st century for the same coverage, and got quoted 800 for 6 months. crazy! But thanks!
I'll have to double check, but I think we pay between 5 and 600 every 6 months through Geico. And that's for TWO vehicles, an F350 and my Scion tc. We both have clean driving records... Oh right...we get a discount for being a member of a credit union, but it can't be that much of a discount.

No offense to anyone here, but comparing insurance rates is retarded. I work as an underwriter for an insurance company. Not only are rates different in every state, but they are also different in every city and town in each state. If you live in or around a city, your rates will be higher. Small rural towns are usually dirt cheap. There are so many factors that go into insurance rating that it is impossible to compare different companies except for comparing for your own situation.

Another thing besides location that can drastically affect your insurance rate is your credit rating.
