Default Check engine Light Still.......

Ok so here it goes
Bought a tc had a check engine light on

took to a dealer and they said the MAFS was messed up because of a crappy intake system the previous owner had put on.

So put on a injen intake and new MAFS. Still have check engine light on.

Do I have to reset the light? or does it do it automatically?

your best bet would be to disconnect the negative battery terminal so that the ecu resets.

Disconnect MAF
Disconnect Neg Terminal
Wait 15mins or so.
Reconnect Battery
Reconnect MAF
Start the car and let it idle for atleast 10mins to let the ECU re-learn

if that doesnt work you need to take it to the dealer and have them reset it with the TIS machine

maintenance one i found out is the oil change one. if you hold in the "mileagereset" button and turn your car off, keep holding it and turn it to "accessory" and watch the numbers drop to 0. (takes like 6 or 7 seconds) then when you turn it back on it will be off. i just found that the hard way from driving to the dealer
