I emailed him:

Um... just FYI on your Scion tC auction. The pictures you have posted are of a 2006. Not a 2005. Also, there is no 6 cylinder option at all for any Scion model. It's a 4 cylinder 2.4L engine. Pushing out 160hp and 163lbft of torque. And if going by the pictures, there is no factory alarm installed as there would be a panel for it left of the steering wheel. You just might want to correct some of those things before an unsuspecting buyer leaves you negative feedback because your ad was incorrect.

Ya I sent them an email too, just before I posted it here, lets see if they change it.

I don't think the seller means any harm, I just don't think he knows much about the car. But if he'd check the engine cover- 16 valves. 16 valves over 6 cyliners, what, 2 and 2/3 valve per cylinder?

Interesting...

It's under the reserve. You have zero obligation to buy it.

Most he could do is OFFER it to you at the price you bid or suggest a higher price. But that would be after the auction if no one else bid. You're totally safe.

I'm sure you guys have noticed, but the VIN provided is for a 2006 as well.

Hard to say what is going on there. Looks like a dealer of some kind since they have lots of other cars for sale. Wierd.

The V6 Camry comes in 2 different engine sizes...the 3.1L and the 3.3L thats in the SE and all the Solara V6's(210 HP)
So the guy who posted this is just inept.
