Default Click sound as I turn the steering wheel lock to lock

So today, my tC was stopped, and I turned the steering wheel all the way to the left (to pimp park, ie: reverse park) and it would click at every quarter turn, from lock to lock. I was able to reproduce this on different surfaces, in and out of gear, etc. Any ideas?

i think i posted this before with someone. but here goes again.

There is a cable assembly/cap thats part of the steering wheel/steering column. It is used, i believe, to turn off the turn signals when turning. That could be causing your noise when turning the steering wheel.

^ I know what youre talking about... that wasnt it though.
This click click was in the wheels, not the steering wheel, plus, my turn signals were off. Any other ideas?

oh it's in the wheels.. sounds like the CV joints. does it make noise while you're moving and the wheels are turned?

Check your tie-rods, steering rack, and axles for any wear.

hmmm.. maybe you need to get under the car. well not where you can get crushed, but where you can hear the clicking. have someone turn the wheel and listen, see what side it's coming from.

wait... You're saying that the noise was plastic bags on the underside of your car?
