Default Clicking noise when in reverse

Hi everyone,

I've had this issue for awhiles now on my 2005 tc. When I am in reverse, and each time I step on my brake and let go there is a clicking noise.
I was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue or have any idea what is causing the issue?

Thanks,
Kelly

only in reverse??
only when you press/release brake??

is it loud or a small noise??

maybe just brake pad adjustment, which is normal

I also have a tapping noise in reverse with the brake on. It seems only to happen when the RPMs are as low as they are at that moment. I figured out that mine is being caused by my intake filter rattling against where my tire is. Do you have an intake or is it stock?

Hi,

Yep, only happens when I'm in reverse and when I release the brake do I heard the clicking noise. It's a small noise. What does a brake pad adjustment do?

Thanks,
Kelly

thats what the noise most likely is, its common
the brake pads are shifting/adjusting.

Yeah i had the same noise. You just need some readjusting. I think it took a few tries to get it right. Its nothing that is going to hurt the car.
