Definitely sucks to be at the bottom of the foodchain.

Toyota needs to put the tC on a diet and put a 2ZZ-GE that's used in the Lotus Elise under the hood. I hope someone from Toyota reads this.

bottom line... each car (rsx/rsx-s/tC) can all be tuned and modded to be a 10 sec car its just a matter of how much youre willing to invest in the car

Celica GT-S with the 2ZZ was around 2,500 lbs? How much does the panoramic sunroof weigh on the tC?

good idea lol...I'm just thinking of ways to reduce weight on the tC. I was never fond of the all glass roof when the tC first came out.

I agree 100%.

If I wanted to spend $23k on a brand new car I would get the mazdaspeed 3 and run circles around the overpriced RSX. The car is better all around, handling, acceleration, top speed and braking.
i didn't pay 23k for only performance aspects
if that was the case, i would be in a srt-4 or a bike instead

i like how this thread went from rsx haters to talking about our glass lol, but imo from what ive been told, alot of our excess weight is in our roof because of the "roll cages" or better yet, extra metal support beams needed cause our roof panels are glass, so we dont get crushed in a roll over... so yea removing glasds would be a nice thing to do but i doubt it would really alleviate alot of the weight issues with our fat cars

well, it's more of an issue of lowering center of gravity.
