Default Which color tC requires most maintenance?

I've had my order for a Flint Mica for 3 weeks now and I'm still concerned about making the right choice about color. I really like the Flint because it looks sophisticated but wondering about maintaining it. I'm even thinking about going silver because it's easy to maintain but everyone has a silver car. Black I heard is hard to keep clean, some have sworn to never buy black again, hard to take care off, and really hot. Supposedly, gray cars (like flint mica) are just as hot and hard to maintain as black, although slightly easier. The other colors I havn't really considered. But in the mean time, wondering first of all:

1) where are you from?
2) what color tC do you have?
3) do you have to wash it often? ie does dirt show a lot/easy?
4) are scratches really noticable?
5) in hot weather, does the interior feel semi-hot or really hot?

thanx

Hey I'm in Tampa, FL with a black tC, I wash my tC about once a week, haven't noticed any scratches yet, and it is not hot inside after parking in the sun (probably due to me having blacked out windows.)

1) SoCal

2) Black Sand Pearl

3) My car honestly gets washed every 3-4 times a week. I have a VIP card at a very good car wash across the street from my house that entitles me to unlimited washes ($30 a month). I can go twice a day everyday if i really wanted to. Its pretty cool, I practically take it through there whenever I have 15 minutes to spare. I usually get a basic wash from them, then drive home and touch up the minor details they missed. On top of the unlimited washes, I use a California Duster every morning and keep a bottle of Meguiars Quick Detailer spray wax in my trunk. Gold Class wax goes on every week or so. Surprisingly, maintaining my tC has been pretty fun so far. Its a lot of work but with a car like this, I dont mind keeping it clean.

4) So far, I have two very tiny scratches. Theyre less than half an inch but stick out like a sore thumb. Scratches in the black paint show up silver making it very noticable. As far as swirls, theyre not as noticable with the flakes in the paint, but when they do show up, a quick waxing does the trick.

5) It feels like an oven when I get into my car on a hot day. I have 6% tint all around and it helps a little but its still very hot at first. It usually cools down quick once I drive with the windows down and sunroof open.

Ive owned a silver and a dark gray car before this and black takes a lot more maintenance. Silver stayed clean forever and the dark gray hid the dust and waterspots a lil better than my black tC.

Ok I live in Southern Cali and I drive a BSP. I have to wash it at least once a week. And you have to make sure you do a good job or you can see every mistake so it takes a good maybe 2 hours to wash my car and have it loking good. I try and dust it off as much as possible though. I dont have any scratches so I dont know if they are noticable. And hell yea its hot when I get in my car and its worse because I have leather seats so my back gets burned FAST. But my 15% tint all around helps a TINY bit.

1) Los Angeles
2)Super White
3)Once a week, dust doesn't show that easily unless you're upclose
4)Yes
5)Semi-hot

I don't wash and care for my car religiously. Add to the fact that I commute alot everyday adds to the rock-induced chips and scratches, my car does have a few scars that show up. I need to improve my car-washing skills....

1. Chicago
2. Silver Streak Mica (3 weeks old Friday)
3. Auto touch free wash with each fill up and detailed it once; it shows the dust and dirt a bit, but since it's new I'm much more **** about it. In a few months I won't be looking as hard and doubt I'll have it washed as much.
4. No scratches yet :D
5. It seems really hot after it's been in the sun, but the AC cools it fast. It hasn't been very hot this month, so I was surprised at how warm the car has been. They all have black roofs, so I'm sure they're all hot.

Black Sand Pearl
I try to wash it once a week, The pearl in the paint helps hide scratches and dirst unless you get right up on it then you can see them.
I got 15% tint gets hot most times, it gets real hot when I park my car towards the sun, I need a damn sunshade! The temp over here has been around mid to high 90's and 100+ sometimes, Damn FLA

2. Black Sand Pearl

4. Not really noticeable. Only swirls at direct sunlight.

5. Really hot in direct sunilght. Need to tint soon!

1. Michigan
2. Flint Mica
3. I try to wash it whenver it's nice in Michigan (seems to rain a lot lately) Doesn't really show dirt too much unless it's REALLY dirty....but I don't let it get REALLY dirty.
4. No noticeable scratches yet
5. Seems to get pretty hot even when I close to sun shades. That is if I leave it sit there all day while at work in the sun.

1. Nor Cal (Bay Area)
2. Flint Mica (1 week old tommorow)
3. I might was it once a week, but most likey whenever it looks dirty. Dark colors are known to look dirty faster.
4. I don't have any scratches, but with dark colors they will be noticable.
5. Only once its been hot after leaving it in the sun, but any car gets like that. Open the windows, then put on the AC after it cools down.

1. Jacksonville, FL

2. Flint Mica

3. I wash it every other week. Up close dirt is very apparent, but from more than 10 feet you can't really tell. The wheels are the biggest pain so far. I'll wax it about once every 3 months.

4. No scratches yet.. fingers crossed. I do have a small rock chip that's noticable from 2-3 feet. Nothing a little touch-up paint won't cure.

5. When it's hot outside, of course it's gonna be f-in hot inside.. no airflow. It's like driving around in a two-door greenhouse with all that glass. Advise, tint the windows (I did 15% all the way) , get a reflective tint for the sunroofs and you'll be fine. All cars are hot when in hot weather.

Silver streak mica---Newport Beach Cali.

I've owned a couple of black cars and they are a _____ to maintain! And it doesn't matter how well you take care of the paint, it will eventually start to show scratches and swirl marks. I got tired of washing these cars every four days, so I got the silver which always looks clean and shiny! :D

1) Also from San Jose
2) IIP
3) it does get dusty and very noticeable, but use a cali duster followed with detailing spray every other day. wash it every week.
4) When I first got it had spiderwweb swirls but took care of that with polish, sealant, and wax.
5) it hasnt been all that hot here but when it is yah its a bit hot, i have a windsheild cover from allscion.com and also 20% tint all around also helps.

Boston

I don't wash it often at all and unless the birds poop on it, it still looks great.
4) are scratches really noticable?
yes, but they would be worse on a darker car
5) in hot weather, does the interior feel semi-hot or really hot? semi.
I chose silver because I like the shape of the car and a lighter color helps you see the lines. I also prefer the interior not to be exactly the same color as the exterior, hence my issue with the Flint mica. I think a dark inside looks good with a lighter outside.

1) San Diego
2) Black Cherry Pearl
3) If I don't dust it, it is dirty in a few days. I dust it every morning and it stays clean for 1-2 weeks.
4) I have a few that are only noticeable in the sun.
5) Really hot (even though I have the windows tinted at 15%). I use a sunshade and crack the moonroof to keep the interior only semi-hot if it is parked in the sun.

1) Pittsburgh

2)Flint Mica

3)I wash it once a week or until its dirty and to me it doeasent take long to look dirty, you really can tell if theres just a bit of dust on and and once its been freshly cleaned because the metalic REALLY shines in the sun on the flint mica, thats the big reason I chose this color.

4)I owned my tC for 3 weeks and already a light scratch on the drivers side door and you can only tell when you look real closely at it,I also have a small ding on top of the rear drivers side im hopeing dent wizard can take it out but its in a strange place so it mite be hard to get to, but its noticable.

5)To me when its humid out like it has been for the last couple of days its really hot, but im sure if you have tinted windows it woulded be bad also make sure the sliders for the roof are closed in the sun or you will be frying.

IMO the flint is awsome on sunny days you will get LOTS of stares because its so glittery looking. And after seeing all the colors in person the only other color that I would of gotten is the white and the big reason why is its just cool looking to me plus you dont see dirt, it wouldent be hot and scratches are hard to see on white cars. If you get the chance to see a white tC in person before you make your purchase on a flint, do it. All the pictures on the net give none of the cars true justice. But in the end its really what YOU like not us.
