well..here's an excerpt from car connection article posted today...dec 01,03 about the new TC being based on the Toyota Avensis.
"Farley also fit in a quick outline of the upcoming tC coupe, Scion's third product, which will debut at Detroit and go on sale nearly a year later. Based on the Japan-market Toyota Avensis, he said that the tC would be especially distinctive as the only car on the market with a fully glass roof, an engineering feat to maintain the stiffness of a normal roof. The four-cylinder tC will offer a supercharger kit shortly after launch. Although price-wise it looks like people might cross-shop the tC with the Celica, he asserted that "꿻he Celica is more of a boy-racer; the tC is more of a 3-Series Coupe. We're not going to be in the same market."
so...we shall all find out soon.

The top picture is the scion tC. The bottom pic is the 2004 Saturn Ion coupe. It kinda does look similar I think. I still like the tC rear though. You all are saying it looks too "normal and boring". Sometimes that can be a good thing. If you think about it, the whole Toyota and Lexus line looks "normal", and thats not bad. It's when you start trying to hard (the whole damn saturn line) that you mess up. Just my thought :D [/img]

Ok, so even if the tC does have an all glass roof, atleast it doens't have the "Good but not very practical" one that the ccx had. You know, the one with like 25 pieces of glass that folded up... yeah just wait till it rains!

I imagine that the interior will be toned down a little for production models. It's already pretty obvious Scion changed the sheetmetal quite a bit from ccx to the tc. So I think we can expect a little more conventional interior too.
