Crahsed into a curb.....
I crashed my car today while driving on sunrise highway i was making a right turn into a movie thearter when the car started to hydroplane and i lost control and ended up hitting the curb on the other side of the road. the front wheel hit first and cracked a big chunk off of the rim, thn the rear wheel hit . the front wheel is bent in now and when i took the tire off the rod that connects to the shocks was bent (i just put Tein SSP's in if theyre damaged ill cry lol )im not sure what else iswrong with the front wheel and stuff but the rear wheel is pretty much in hte same boad as to what happened, it bent in and it seems like the independednt suspention brace or w/e its called is bent. i called the police and got a police report and then had AAA tow it to a shop my dad goes to for all the work on his cars. im praying that insurance covers it and all i have to pay is the 500 deductable, i just got off the phone with them and it seems like they will. hopefully ill have the car back soon. im going to be going up to where i dropped the car off tommorow so maybe i can get some pics up for everyone and you can tell me what u think.....sorry i just had to get that out....its just what i need not having a car and have to pay for the damage...
that sucks bro. Today was nasty, especially on sunrise. I was going to go to a movie theater myself but instead stayed home and played some BF2 lol. Atleast they're covering it.
Yea, driving around LI today was a mess. They said it was the worst flooding we've ever seen.
In any case, are you on stock tires??? If so, I hate it when people have to learn their lesson the hard way. I know it hurts to take off barely used tires, but it is such an important safety feature, that you almost have no choice, especially when the stocks are such garbage. When it was raining and I was on stock tires, I would crawl along as to not get killed. I'm now on toyo proxes 4s and although I still drive extra carefully in the rain, I feel MUCH more secure. You should look into it when you get your car back. The stocks are just complete trash.

The stock tires are not the best, but you guys make it seem like they're OEM equipment found on Power Wheels.
If you simply keep your speed down, and drive properly for the conditions...there shouldn't be any problems.
Of course if you want to drive in rain the same way you do in dry conditions, I hope the tire store sells life insurance too.

Were you goin into Sunrise Cinemas?? Yesterday before i was going to work, i saw a fellow tC involved in an accident. I didn't really get to see what happened. Yesterday was horrible to drive in, a lot of the streets were flooded. I work at JFK and the Belt Pkwy was backed up to the Cross Island. 2 people unfortunately died yesterday morning due to the rain. I think they ran off the road or somethin. When it rains, I'm like a turtle. I have Tein S-techs on mine, so you can imagine the height on my car and i have a AEM CAI, so puddles are not my friend, i try to be safe as possible.
It was just as bad walkin in the rain yesterday as it was drivin. Everywhere you stepped you were swimming. For such a big city you'd think we'd have a good drain system.
