Default Custom tC grilles

What does everyone think about custom grilles for the tC? I personally prefer the stealth/black hole style grille compared to the shiny grille style. Is there any way to diy this kinda stealth grille, or take the stock one out?
Opinions are welcome

i might see how much it costs to get the lower grill piece to use to make a new grill for the upper half.

i'll definately write up on it if i do.

Ive seen that one at the dealer and i didnt like it
it sits closer to the front of the bumper than the original making the scion badge look flat
I want a deep one that sits further towards the engine bay for dimension.

i think it sits on top of the original!?

i think this one looks ugly, something in mesh would probably look alot better, i do like the billet grill pics for the tc floating around though

I would prefer one like the grillcraft that they make for the xB. They are working on one for the tC and should be done by the middle of December.

well i painted my front emblem black before but looking at it, it dint seem to match to the grill itself. so today, i bought some black car paint and i took out the lower and top grill and painted them both black so now they look more amazing cuz it looks like its deeper in

So you're saying... take the grill out and paint it black for that stealth/no grill look? Post a pic and let us see! Maybe a tutorial style.... Sounds tight!

yes yes, the light up scion symbol is very nice. god knows i would forget that its on and get pulled over right away because virginia is the gayest state in the union. anywayz, yeah, i'd like to get another grill w/o the symbol too. I took off my tC emblem so that ignorant gawkers wouldn't be able to figure out what it is (and thus not fall in love with it and buy one of their own).

Hmmm, is that dremel work and then put LEDs behind it?
I might have to try this when I get my car
