That sucks. You should have fun with the Taurus while you have it.

Wow! I can't believe that damage cost so much - but hopefully it will be good as new when it's done!

I recently had an Impala for two weeks while mine was in the shop. It too had a floor e-brake, and traction control, but the TRAC could be turned off. Hehehe.

My car looked like yours before I had parked it at my work place. I heard a page on the loud speaker... When I came out I see this.... A eighteen wheeler draged the car four spaces. (Only had it for one month) Luckly I got the insurance info from the truck driver. Cost over 4 grand to fix and over a month in the shop....

Check out my sig for picture of repair...

Default yep

Repairs are expensive on scions or new car in general. My Xb needed a new hatch, taillight, bumper, and side panel, for about 4,000

Default Month or More

I keep seeing all these posts of a month or more to make repairs....is it a parts aquisition issue or slow body shops? I hope it's not parts...It's in a less than Mid-Grade city, so maybe it won't take so long...but if it does...so what as long as it's right once it's done...'cause if it's not...I'll refuse it until it is.

At least it was repairable (is that a word). Too bad the rental wasn't a Scion.

When i had the scion in the shop, they have to order the parts from Japan. It takes around 2-3 week to receive the parts and about 1 week to fix.

wulfedog, you got a pretty good deal on the repairs. i got hit the same way but with more damage. replaced the door inner door panel, quarter panel but not the quater window. the estimate was close to 6k. i ran up a curb so all the rims and tires needed to be replaced which ran up the estimate to a little under 9k.

it is true cars are not the same after a wreck. make sure when they weld the panels on that they cover the glass roof and windows. my shop didnt and i got sparks stuck on my windows. didnt notice it till after i tinted the windows.
