Dang! It's been almost a year and 40k on the ODO.
Man, what an engine Toyota makes. Even when they screw up as something as fundamentals as piston rings, these beasties just won't be stopped.
Aside from that one hiccup due to the incompetence of the person who owned her before I did, and who goofed the refurb alternator install that cost me a chewed up pigtail for the crankshaft sensor, which I ended up splicing and patching instead of buying a new one, she just doesn't have any problems worth fretting about.
Sure, she got some blowby, but you'd hardly notice by the performance, and her reliability has eepaid her initial cost to me seventeen times over.
Happy beater owner. Praise, pray hands, yadda yadda. I wanna buy another one!
