Default Dealer scratched it up.

I see this is a common thing, first oil change on my 07' and they scratched my hood after sliding thier magnet on my hood. They also scratched e~v~e~r~y single rim with yup thier magical lil impact gun. They are aware of this and want to see the damage in day light, since this happened tonite

He is yelling on purpose since they screwed up his car, that is the reason for the caps he can rightfully complain I would be ____ed no matter what car it is if people ruin crap for no reason.

As for him telling the dealer they messed up he stated that he told them but they want to see it in the daylight.

Wow, that's first time i've heard of a dealer treating cars with such carelessness. They'd be stupid to neglect a car that's under warranty like that. They'd fire mechanics that did such things over here, especially costing the company money by messing up property.

the only time a dealer has EVER touched my car was for the deflector recall...i will never let a dealer touch my car otherwise. i held off on getting the recall done also for almost 8 months, and the only reason i ended up going was because of the free jada toy, haha. i don't trust anyone with my car except me...

OMG ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT CAPS!? lol seriously you guys take this website way to seriously, editing peoples posts because they are talking in caps! Its a website wehre people are allowed to post freely... Dont complain about caps!!

As for the scrttched up tC... What metal thing do you mean on the hoods? At my dealership they dont use anything like that, and we dont have anything to curb vehicles on so Im sorry about that!!

Melissa, this is a private site, and each and every person allowed to post on this site agreed to follow the published rules. That is one of the conditions of being allowed to continue posting here.

Some of us do take the site seriously - it it our job to specifically do that.

In this case I simply changed the ALL CAPS post to one with reasonable capitalization and did not warn the poster (because I understood his anger).

Trust me, neither he nor I need to be defended nor instructed.

If you don't know that posting in all caps is prohibited and subject to warning, Melissa, please click the button at the top of ScionLife pages and familiarize yourself with them.

Until you complained in your post, my entire input to this thread was to gently correct the all caps post, and leave my mark on it the poster would know who edited the post.

That one comes out of the dealership's pockets, since they are a fault for the damage - Scion/Toyota won't cover that with a warranty payment to the dealer, since there wasn't anything wrong with the wheels, from the factory.

Glad to see the dealership step up to that one. Your complaint to them, and having it hit them in their pocketbook, could very well get them to be more careful in the future. You not only get new wheels, you probably saved someone else from getting their wheels damaged.

:D

I had a similar experience upon purchasing my BSP. First the driver's chair memory function was not working properly and one of my headlights was pointed towards the sky. Mechanic told me that memory option was not available on tc's and that I had read the manual wrong. I proceeded in showing him to EVERY scion tC on the lot and long behold they ALL had that function. Then when i brought it in for the chair they cut it open put a new rail and did a horrible job at stiching it up and they didn't fix the headlight. As if that wasn't enough they dented my Brand new car! I showed them dent upon inspection and after handing out some attitude, the body shop manager instricted me to "bring your ___ here tommorrow and we'll fix this little ding for you". So I did. How'd they fix it? Liquid metal, shaved it and repainted it, leaving fish eyes and drips everywhere. Took it back for all that and they once again sanded the drips clay barred it and of course they couldnt hand me it without putting a scratch on the freshly painted door! So they buff it out, leaving swirls in the door. They tell me im going to have to wax it each time the swirls appear. Then the sunroof starts malfunctioning and doesnt close right because the bars of the visor make the glass retract (the safety mechanism). I take it in for that and a blown headlight and they can't fix the sunroof. Bring it in again for the sunroof specialist to see it. He claims I need a new glass. He orders it. I bring in the tC again and the problem seems like its fixed! That weekend i take a trip to Tallahassee and on the way my friends and I hear a whistling noise. The sunroof glass doesn't make a seal with the rubber and when i get to tallahassee the sunroof begins to not close properly again! I take it in again and they say they fixed the seal problem and they were "unable to reproduce the problem" of it openning back up after hitting the bars from the visor while closing. I video taped it happneing from many angles and went back the day before driving up to school (Georgia Tech) to get an oil change and show him the video although i would not have time to fix the problem; just for their records for when i get back. Luckily the video was not needed and the damn sunroof failed to close in front of them. Now I'm waiting to go back down with the car december break to see what wonders the dealer will work now...

Engineer, not writer, please excuse mispellings....

The sunroofs always have those problems, they dotn make a seal for it they have to order you a whole new roof.....thats just how the tCs were made I guess. Dealerships sshould be nice about what they do to your car, granted they think its annoying thatyou come back in its still their job to make you a satified customer. Its a pain in the a$$ I see frustrated customers come in all the time with the sunroof problem, luckily I havent had to deal with it yet on my tC but yah they will have to order you a whole new roof... Seen it first had many times since I've worked here. Good luck with that, my suggestion would be to find a better dealer!
