Default Dirty Butt? Rear hatch gets dirty faster then rest of car?

Does anyone else's tc get really dirty in the rear when driving around in the weather or on dirty paths?

I've notice that the rear of my car is always the dirtiest when I wash it, I guess this is due to an aerodynamic thing? I have the bodykit and the lip spoiler, but does anyone else run into this problem?

meh, the whole car gets dirty. The dirtiest imo is the doors and quarter panels between teh front and rear tires... below the level of the door handles. especially when it rains. Dear god that area looks superwhite after a bad storm and then all the dirt and water dries up.

I always thot it was my exhaust shooting all of the black soot and the wind blowing it around onto my hatch.

Hatch on back is always the first to get dirty for me. Especially when its cold and all the condensation collects on the roof. Then when I drive home, it comes rushing down along with the dirt and all the great stuff on my roof.

Yep, Wash your car and come back in an hour. You will notice dried up dirty water on the rear bumper from where it drips down the trunk and from behind the license plate.

Wax off Daniel son!.

I guess it probably depends alot on if you garage your car and where you live. For me the hatch area definently looks dirtiest as far as the concentration. But the rest of the car gets dirty just as quick...damn fog rolling in all the time, takes 1 day for my car to get dirty :/ i guess i should invest in a car cover huh?

I washed and waxed my car yesterday. Went to the store and now it's almost just as dirty than before I washed it! Didn't even drive 5 miles total and wasn't even raining. The back definitely gets the dirtiest and I am noticing that the paint is very dull. I wonder if the constant pelting of dirt and grime on the back hatch is taking off the clearcoat?

it's always going to be the worst there on just about any car b/c almost any other part of the car has air to blow off the dirt when driving but the rear doesnt.... this is especially true in the rain where the water doesnt move very much so when the car dries, the dirt remains.

of course, because there is a flat portion where water doesn't drain off... it just sits, and when it dries, guess what happens to all the dirt suspended in the rain water? Yup, it makes a nice deposit.

Other than that, Neothin's got it covered.

The back can also get dirtier on any car because of a vortex effect thing that naturally happens due to aerodynamic nonsense... basically, dirt can actually get blown onto the back of your car where you wouldn't really think there is airflow.

A wing can actually move the vortex further back, but meh.

Yeah the rear bumper gets dirtiest for me as well.. I think it's the aerodynamics of the car.. I always notice the side walls of the rear bumper getting dirty 3 days after I wash the car. =(

I wonder if the rear mud flaps help any with the dust, grime?

I have the same problem with the hatch getting dirty the fastest, and let me tell ya, rain-x makes it worse! i put it on all my windows over a year ago and it doesn't seem to have worn off yet because the water still stays and everything just gets dirty! then again, the lawn maintenance people seem to love blowing everything on my car when they do their stuff in front of my building... jerks!

YES! Not only does water incessantly dribble from the seams in the body work after washing, but for some reason the back of my car attracts way more dust and dirt than the front.

they do, definitely. Those nice symmetric dirt patters you see at the bottom edge of most car's wheel wells? Yea, that doesn't happen nearly as much with mudguards.

Also a little added protection against rocks hitting the sides, after getting kicked up by tires or whatever
