DISCONTINUATION OF SCIONS?!?!
A friend told me he read an article in a mag what he thinks is "Car and Driver" and it said they would stop making Scions late 2007. Because it costs too much to make them and they aren't getting enough for them. And I AM ABOUT to get a tC. Kinda makes me not want one if this is true. I also remember reading a thread about it a while back. Is this true?!?!
I hope not cuz I plan on getting an xB soon. Whadda ya mean they aren't getting enough? They raise the price every year. And how can they be expensive to make. I think that's BS as in not true.

Scions are one of the most successful introductions in Cars... no way would they discountinue them....
There has always been talk of model changes every three or so years, which are coming due now... but realistically, they keep things pretty quiet until they WANT things to get out....
If they discontinued Scions... it'd be BIG BIG news....

i'd personally don't mind for the tC to be discontinued. then there won't be more on the road than what's already out there. i don't mind if scion goes either, but that would make it look like scion failed as an auto maker company.

First of all Scion is not going anywhere.....too successful, too profitable!
Next up, if for some reason it did go it would likely be because it had been so successful.... Lets remember the true marketing purpose of Scion was to attract the younger generations into the Toyota Brand and then hopefully keep them for life. The only way to drop Scion is if the models were given Toyota names and kept in production. Chevy did this with Geo a while back, though this is not comparable at all.
