Default Do the LED accent lights go with the guages and/or radio?

I searched but didn't find a real answer about this:

The tC's gauges are blue-white IIRC from pictures ... and the radio has an amber backlight. Even though I'm not a big fan of amber, I was going to get the amber LED accent lights to match the radio backlight.

For those who have amber LEDs, does the accent light match the head unit backlight?

For those who have blue LEDs, does the accent light match the gauges better?

I saw a reference to changing the radio backlight color ... is this an option?

TIA.

Hi Creature,
Nice G35!! A red G35 was my dream car for over a year and I came pretty close to buying one. Anyhow, I can't answer your question about the amber accent lights since I don't have them. But, I just wanted to let you know that the TCs gauges are silver during the daytime and the numbers light up in amber at night (matches the radio backlight). I'm guessing the amber accent lights match these lights as well but someone else can probably verify this. If you get the 6-disc changer option for the stereo, the LCD can be changed to 10 or so different colors (or alternative between them). Hope this helps. -Jayme

All the instrument lighting in the tC is amber. The amber led under dash and cupholder lights match perfectly.

Thanks ... I consider it my "attainable" dream car.

Haven't seen the blue kit from Scion but I just tried a blue cold cathode that someone gave me, out in my tC and it does indeed clash.

Is it just the shade? Is the scion blue led option better?

i have the blue LED interior kit, and it doesn't clash whatsoever. it looks just fine, and pretty good might i add! anyone can see the LED's from the outside if they're walking by, and it looks really nice!

I agree. I have the blue lighting too and everyone that sees it, likes it. With the blue lights, you don't really notice the amber dash lights.

otacon88, What color are your cupholder leds? Mine are purplish looking. I thought they would be the same blue as the floor. Is it just my car or are others like this?

Default Go with Scion LED option or 3rd party?

Anybody have any experience with some of the 3rd party lighting options out there?

I have seen a lot of posts about cold cathode kits, and my main questions are:
Is it brighter?
I have seen kits that allow the lights to pulse with the bass of the music, can you do this with the Toyota kit? (ie. have the controller box wired to the toyota LED kit)
