Default Do tC's adapt to driver's behavior?

On weekdays, I commute to work in traffic,
I've noticed on Saturdays, my car feels jerky in the tranny and weak while cruising in the open roads. By Sunday night it's runs great.
Is it me or the computer? Is there any why to reset the computer so I can start the weekends on a blank slate ?
Thanks

The automatic does. Remove the wire on the negative battery terminal for a while (10 minutes i've read, 30 minutes would definitely be more than enough) to reset it. However, if you go driving during the weekday in that traffic, it will simply adapt again. Plus, i'm sure the adaptations are working to improve the fuel economy of your recorded situations, no real point in resetting that if it's just going to be re-done.

But wouldn't the power windows, sunroof, pwr door locks and all that other acc. have to be reprogrammed? Where is the fuse to the computer alone?

Oh, it definitely adapts. If you drive like crap, it'll adapt by screwing your transmission...etc.

I wouldn't reset the computer like that. Your tC is doing a good thing by adapting to your driving habits.

not sure if its the same... but in my previous car, while at the track, i would pull the PCM fuse in the engine fuse box so that the car runs at the optimal tune before it learns to driving situations. However, some people thought that i was just placibo effect and that nothing was really happening in reality.

The engine has variable valve timing with intellegence (VVT-i). If i have my facts straight what it does is changes the timing of the intake valves for the best fuel economy and performance based on your driving conditions. The timespan it takes to change i dont really know i tried asking my salesperson but he didnt really give me an answer. I say just let it do its thing if it really bothers you you can always go to your dealer and figure out whats up, but i dont know how much of a hassle that is for you.

My 07 manual bucks a lot.. But my gf's 06 does not.

I always end up with a brand new car that bucks.. my 02 WRX did/does the same thing.

I don't think the VVT-i figures much into the learning. The VVT-i actuates only based on load, engine temp and RPM. I put my money on the tranny learning. Most of the engine-based ECU learnings are going to be subtle adjustments to the air/fuel maps for economy, fuel quality & emissions.
