Do you ever feel like?
Other than a 92 Camry, I've only driven the generation before the current ones...
danget that was a scary experience. Unresponsive steering, brakes that felt like they went through the floor without biting, etc etc
like driving my dad's Sienna! Who the heck drives these things?!

drove an 05 camry (and owned a 95 camry) while my scion was getting a dent repair and its parts installed for about 4 days.
definitely does not feel like a camry. the brakes on that camry were very spungy, there was a very weird rattling (my mom's vibe has it too) in the front... almost like a little piece of plastic bouncing around and the transmission was very unforgiving (jolted from 1st to 2nd on more then one occasion).

I don't know why people make fun of the camry so much. It's one of the nicest, highest quality car you can get.
I often hear xa and xb owners try to compensate for their cars by saying that the tC has a "Camry" engine.
So what. The Camry motor is one of the most reliable bullet proof 4 bangers out there. It's a lot better than their "Echo" engined car.
Since the tC has a Camry motor, I expect nothing less than 200,000 miles of reliable driving ahead.

I used to drive 93 V6 Camry XLE before I bought my 07 tC. I know it's v6 so I can't really compare with my tC. Camry was little more powerful than tC (Of course it's v6) but that Camry is dying now
yes, please go drive a Camry, you'll be taking your life into your own hands (or more like out of your hands).. that is a SCARY ride.. bad brakes, unresponsive steering..
to paul34! You're right, who buys the Camry? I mean are these people lacking any kind of feeling for a car? Amazing there are that many insane drivers to say the Camry actually sells... I feel sorry for those buyers.. I actually prefer my car to BRAKE when I ask it to, not when it thinks it wants to!.. and not to mention have an ACTUAL steering feel!! what a concept!
And to compare the tc to the camry, someone must be locked in an old episode of the Twilight Zone.. Welcome.. lol

I got to drive an 07 Camry while my car was getting work done on it and I didn't think it was a bad car. Granted, I would never own one now, but down the road, I think it would be a great car for hauling around kids or someday when I have arthritis so bad that I can't drive a manual. I did notice a big difference between that and my tC though. The "fun factor" just isn't there in the Camry.

It's a good, reliable car of course, but what the heck!
