Default Does the car come with floormats ?

Hello people..
i got quick question..
I know that in Cali Tc's come with floormats ( been told so by a dealer on the forums, well at least at his dealership) ..Today i went to a dealer in NYC ( Manhattan toyo/scion) and the sales guy said that floor mats are separate !

I want to know what you guys have to say...

Did your car came with floor mats ? please state year, and which state the car was purchased in..
Thanks in advance !

Some dealerships put accessories on tCs already to make them look more attractive and get them moving quicker. So my guess is that dealership throws in the floormats and you have to get them no way around it. Alot of dealerships ive seen have a list next to the window sticker stating whats been dealer added with the new total but once somethings on the car there not going to remove parts unfortunatly. if you dont want them just tell the dealer to either take them off a car that has them or find you a car without them, they usually budge. I have floor mats the only complaint i have is when trying to get to the spare tire its just one more thing you need to remove to get back there but thats not really a complaint i really like mine. Makes the interior especially the trunk look better.

My dealer told me they order all of their cars with the floormats even though they're an added cost because all of their customers want them anyway. I told her that I specifically did not want floormats on my car because I knew I could get them cheaper through mcgeorges, trdsparks or ebay, and she ordered my car without them.

They do NOT come with the tc . If they are thrown in , they either charged you somehow or , it was done to clinch the deal . They are NOT a part of the car . No dealership gives them without a charge somewhere UNLESS it is as you are closing the deal and they need to give something . They must pay for them .

Sleep3r .
I expect so . He should have loaded you up . lol .
Neothin .
I too had a cargo liner in the car . The sales manager is a good friend and gave them to me as a goodwill gesture . I paid half price for the mats . But , the dealership has to pay for them . They can afford it . Everything is marked up so they make their money anyway .

my 07 from CA came with them. they told us we cant get a tc without them. im not complaining. and seriously, i cant remember how much they cost, but when it comes down to it, they cost you a few cents to a dollar on your monthly payments so really theres no real problem, just get em. and they're all season too!

they're not supposed to come with mats, and if they do have mats in them then the dealer put them in and you will be charged for them (from what i know anyway).

Toyota does not put mats in any car, period (Lexus might be different tho). The Cali distributors might put them in, and then hide the costs in the Shipping & Delivery, and they'd probably be the only ones that do that.

Typically, the distributors or dealers will sell them.

Truth is, Scion pricing is "pure price" but theycan negotiate that with the accessories. I got TRD exhaust and tint for free...dealer was a friend

that's because the accessories are dealer parts and it's just more money for the dealer. that's also why dealers will buyers into these "upgrades" because the dealers makes a KILLING on them.

I think the dealer is just playing with you when they say "You'll get this for free". The truth is, it's not free when the dealer bought the car you traded in for a low price. Scions are pure pricing, they can't just throw a TRD exhaust for free.

nope, they dont come stock, and they are expensive as hell from the dealer. I got myself a black set from pepboys for $30, which is a lot less than the dealers $200...

oh and knowing the dealer, they will probably charge you a $50 installation fee...

^thats a joke, I hope you can install floormats yourself. You just put them onto the carpet of the floor..
