^^^ yes, that is how a vehicle is declared totaled.
when the value of the damage is over the KBB value of the car.
Most insurance companies will write you a check for the value of the car. and then what you do with the car is up to you. thats how it is here in NYC

all of your aftermarket parts are yours and you are entitled to them if they are not covered on your insurance. say if you had your aftermarket intake and it got messed up in the accident. if you didnt tell your insurance company about it and add it to your insurance then all they will do is replace it with a stock intake. take all your ____ off that car as soon as you can.

Stick a fork in it, it's done.

As for getting your aftermarket stuff back, so long as you have the stock components tht you replaced the ins. company should not give you too much trouble about getting the aftermarket stuff removed.

They may give you some grief about springs and such but, at least one of them is probably bent.

YOu didnt report all of the modifications right? so you wont be paid for it. They will just give you stock tc price. The junk yard is gonna make alot of money out of car for sure.

Unless the frame is bent or the roof is damaged, it will be considered fixable.

Not true. Insurance companies tend to (these days) total cars for fear of liability of the "fixed" car kills someone.
My daughter's Mustang was hammered by a guy who ran a stop sign and it was totaled - it didn't look as bad as that tC and no frame damage.

yeah that is a total loss. i had my first TC totalled and it cost 17500 to fix it. car has only 2000 miles. lol. My insurance paid for everything. and for aftermarket, i wouldn't pull it. if you have the receipts, just give it to them and they will reimburse. my insurance let me do it. gave them all of my receipts and they gave alllllll of my money back. ok maybe not all but most! i have allstate by the way. i'm pretty good of total losses. i have 2 in one year! both brand new cars
