Default Drag racing my tC....So much fun :D

I raced against my friend's Honda Civic Si....He let another person drive it who claimed they could drive it....but they couldn't....I ran a 10.010 sec 1/8 mile drag at 72 mph....I know I can get under 10...like 9.8 but i've only been driving my 5 speed for like 3 months. I'm gonna try to put the video i have of the race up for you guys to see later.[/img]

thats a really good time, actuallyl a civic Si is not as light as people thing, I think they MIGHT have a 100 pound advantage, but you just cant ignore the fact that the TC has a CRAPTON more torque than an Si, by the time the civic is hitting its powerband the TC is gone, its not all about pure horsepower either, its a cobination of torque, horespower, actual powerband and dirver ability.

with a 10.8 it sounds like you really need to work on your launch, I ran a 10.82 in my old B13 sentra with header/exhaust/intake/ACT clutch, but that car was only 110 hp stock!!!!!

Compared to any "fast" cars, yeah, sure, but compared to the Cavaliers, Civics and other clapped out pieces of garbage that usually want to rev against you, well, the tC is plenty fast (plus it won't blow up like that Accord with the turbo I raced once...)

after driving other cars, i really hate my tC. for the perfromance it sucks. but everythign else im alright wit.

and i didnt know how fast the tC was before. i just know #s, you dnot realize how much it is until you've experience. and i've experienced 160 vs. 278, damm, 160 is too less. our car might have torque but its waay too heavy. dood our car is heavier than a frikkin mini cooper

hmmm.. interesting. what car did you own before the tc? i think the tc holds its own in terms of stock performance.

i don't really like your comparisons. a stock 240sx(KA24DE) would be a better comparison than a swapped 240sx(SR20DET) in terms of horsepower. The 350Z is no match for the tc for obivious reasons. Both platforms are rwd, so its not even in the same category as the tc.

are you a nissan fanatic? just curious, because both cars compared to the tc were nissans.

Why do you even speak up? Are you one of those guys who walks around complaining about everything. Sure the tC isn't one of the faster cars on the road today but it does accomplish what it was set out to do. The tC is an excellent value. There isn't another car out there that can offer the same numbers combined with features brand new that the tC can. As for experience with high horsepower cars yeah they are going to feel faster; they are supposed to. However, those cars aren't in our class. The Civic Si that should easily be disposed of by a tC is. If we could all drive our high horsepower wet dreams that would be great but the fact of the matter is we can't. So suck it up and stop your _____in.

its okay... i only said something back to "taek" to question why he bought his car if he hates it so much.

i've taken note to all his other posts on other threads... and have come to the conclusion that he has nothing positive to say about the tC.
