I’m doing some much needed maintenance on my 06 TC including removing the seats to clean the carpets. While the seats are out I’m trying to figure out how the drivers side latch is assembled so I can try to fix it but can’t seem to find anything online with details. I saw a few threads on this forum but none of the fixes suggested worked. It looks like the mechanism that releases the seat became dislodged and I can’t figure out how to put it back. It’s a shot in the dark but I thought I’d try.

 

Looks like the two 'teeth' are pulled out and stuck when they should be pushed through the piece above them and into the holes in the track....is there anything keeping that piece from rotating back into position as it looks like that is why the cable and ball-end were able to come out. Seems like with the rotating piece where it is and not going back into position it left too much slack in the cable and it pulled out.
