Default DTRUONG_112's tC V2.0(New Ride 2/29/12 PG.9)

Simple and basic. Got out of the scene a long time ago but recently got back in it. Decided I should dedicate a build thread.

Garage picture of how it currently sits, will be updating this thread constantly.

This was how the car looked in 2006 after 2 years of ownership:

Had all the typical suspension modifications, K Sport coilovers, Greddy front and rear strut bars, Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, carbon fiber hood and the good old Turbonetics turbo kit. Pretty quick for 10 psi.

In 07-08, stripped the car and parted everything out and this was what it looked like, STOCK:

Stock height makes the tC look so ugly. Should have kept the coilovers.

Last summer, went back on a couple of old fourms that I use to visit and started getting the mod itch again. A year and a half into also owning my first home, I knew if I did this again, I would have a budget to stick to. With that in mind, I came across a couple of quick mods like the Rokkor coilovers, the DME strut bars, and a couple of other goodies to make the car look decent again and CLEAN!

Got the Hotchkis rear sway bar locally for a steal and as I go to install the suspension parts, I find a snapped Hotchkis front sway bar that I never knew about. I dont know how long I drove with it like that but man, a pain to remove and replace.

Got all the parts installed and the car started to look great again. One thing that was annoying me was the condition of the paint. Being a 6 year old car and owning it partly in Kansas before moving to Arizona, the paint gets a beating. Thats when I picked up auto detailing. Learned pretty quick and has become a hobby of mine. My tools of the trade.

With all that, this is how the car currently sits, some pics of it right after the installation and random ones that I captured.

i know what you mean. The _____ about it is you gotta take em out to take the perch out. So I just dropped the perch and yes it was the lazy thing to do and yes I love the Jingle-jingle I hear going over every single bump but I didnt wanna go to all that work again, I just dont have time.

Same here, its just the extra work involved and is it going to be worth it. The perch is so little, I just dont see how much of a difference it could make.

I think some people say like .5in difference but i'd say maybe .25? It was noticeable but not by much.

How's the Rokkors working out for you? Better than racelands? Also for your drop with oem wheels did you have to trim the fender liner at all or remove them?

Craigslist Got it for $80, it was a little oxidized but worth it IMO. Thinking of selling it though and upgrading to the Kaminari flush mount.

Lemme know if you get rid of it. Did you just put it on with double sided tape?

Will do. Yes, 3M double sided tape and still holding strong.

Yeah, thats my next plan. I have been using Pinnacle Souveran, waiting til it runs out before I pick my tub of Americana.
