Default Engine Block Heater for tC?

I'm looking for a good block heater for the tC. I'm not looking to warm the car up so I'm comfortable in cold weather (although that is a nice side effect), I'm looking at one for fuel economy purposes. Living in a cold climate, the car uses a significant amount of fuel between a very cold start and optimal operating temperature. Therefore, I'd like to get a block heater that I can put on a timer and startup two hours before I leave in the morning.

I'm surprised that Scion doesn't offer a factory unit - therefore I'd like some recommendations on units you guys have used before (doesn't have to be a Scion specific application). I really don't want one that is a magnet unless it is highly recommended...I'd rather one that goes in the freeze plug.

Thanks!

Do you really think it's that necessary? Even when it's in the teens here, the car really only takes maybe 10 minutes to reach normal operating temps.

Yes - 10 minutes a day x 2 times a day x 6 days a week = over 2 hours of running the engine cold. Well worth the investment IMO.

The jcwhitney one I looked into - I'd rather get one from Toyota or Napa/Autozone if possible (easier to do exchanges if there is a problem).

Will do - just wanted to see if any northern users here had better luck with a specific brand...but afterall I'd assume an EBH is an EBH - not much different in specs.
