They don't get the tC per se... the tC is just built off the Avensis chasis... which is available there... it's a totally different car though.

But just like the other cars they have tried to come back with that had turbos and no longer do such as the 350z and the rx-8 this GTR will have a v-8 not a TT setup. the pricerange is shocking to around 50,000 to 60,000 dollars once it comes, hopfully that brings an end to the mystery........ but when it comes to being jealous i think we should cause even the cars that we do have in commonm, they are always better tuned and have better spec than the cars we get here.
Thank you...someone who knows what their talking about finally...although, they did settle on what motor they are using?...thats cool if its gonna be a v8 then it'll have more potential than a v6 tt ...slap a turbo on the v8 and away we go....
Edit:: btw, I'd pay 50,000-60,000 for it if it really makes me drool...
We already have a skyline in the US. It's called the G35.

Considering that the current Nissan road race cars in Japan use a destroked and turbocharged version of the G35's VQ35, I figure that our GTR equivilent will get something similiar.

To the person above who said that the new skyline in japan is the same old motor with a new body, you're dead wrong. The RB26dett is as far as I know no longer a production motor.
Your right about the RB26dett being no longer in production..hence why they wanted a v style engine block instead of an inline 6 due to costs with making the hood longer and it limited design concepts as well i believe. although we do have a "skyline" here...there is still one on the way thats gonna be badge as the Skyline GTR...im hoping that they go with a v6 tt to sorta stick to roots...but i guess at the same time they need to maintain competitiveness with all the new muscle cars coming out like the new cobra and word of a possible re-appearance of the Camaro..possibly under a new name as well. I don't know for sure if they are going to be seling the US GTR as a Nissan (I'm hoping) or a Infiniti.....

he's not talking about that picture, he's talking about the other picture in the thread. (the one taken from a corolla)

i also saw one of the g35 coupe's here in SW florida with the exact same badging.. "skyline 350GT"

the guy was walking out to his car in the parking lot, so I asked him what he had done.. he told me that he just got it about 2 weeks ago, the infinity dealer put the badges on as an extra package, along with intake & exhaust.. it's still the 3.5VQ engine, so I'm sure it's only running a high 13 (or around there)

G35's run 14's

while the 350z runs 13.5

weight makes a big difference here.

A skyline over there is no more than 20-30 grand so it's not a big deal...

Yeah. NO BIG DEAL! I'LL RUN RIGHT OUT AND BUY ONE!

personally, in terms of looks, I think that the G35 looks way better than the skyline
