In houston I got it done at Cartronix at Highway 6 after bellaire, before beechnut and it was 110$ for Lumar, lifetime warranty.

It looks hot, and an awsome job.

Plus they wired my car for a sub for another 30$. I gotta check whether they used a LOC or not...but even if they didnt, simple cheap matter to throw one in.

would tint places also do a window etch if you ask them?

If its not that much extra than it'd be a little bit of convenience vs. you doing it yourself

(sorry to jack your thread, but I do agree DIY tints really are horrible... not to mention the inevitable peeling! Can't see anything out of the windows at that point...)

2 things on window etches.

1) There are DIY kits out there.
2) Its practically worthless, nobody steals cars to resell the actual car, the parts are worth a lot more and are much more untraceable. So they chop that ____ up and they dont give a ____ if they can't sell the windshield because its etched.

Yea I know I just want the etching for insurance purposes, and don't really feel like paying the dealer $xxx for a simple window etch

Wow insurance actually gives you a discount for that crap?

Thats dumb...

They should give you a discount if you paint your car a non OEM color...that way its less likely to get stolen.
