Which exhaust system do you prefer for your TC?
#24
I like the greddy ti-c but i want a cat back and the agency hangs to low. Plus those axle-backs are way expensive in my book. But precision muffler makes an awesome axle-back but im sure they can do a full cat-back if you asked. The Skunk2 is nice but its about 2.35 inches if i did the math from mm right. But check out Rizzie's thread about the TC Sportline its a full cat-back 2.5 inch SS. He has pics and vids. Im still up in the air on the exhaust ima get.

So then, are there big gains to be had by going from 2.25" piping to 2.5" piping on the Scion tC? On a bolt-on's only car? I know that boosted cars will want a 2.5" or 3" exhaust for less backpressure.

no there's no BIG gains when you do bolt ons. at MOST, maybe 30 hp. 2.5" on a n/a car is fine, its just that you will lose lowend torque, but get it back when you get past 3-4k rpms. i have a full 2.5" system, and i could tell you that i lost a lot of the pull in the low end.

i had the Megan Drift Spec for awhile~ then switched over to the TRD Axleback after getting pulled over for it.
i miss the megan, i miss how the exhaust hangs low and has a very deep roar to it (kind of like the WRX).
trd is a deaf kid compared to the megan, honestly~ lol
but i like the trd don't get me wrong~

magnaflow 2.5 - 2.25. sounds amazing, looks amazing, and performs amazing. and its a cat back not an axel back. One reason I liked it was because of the oem look of the exhaust tip. OEM = Cops not caring
