There is (apparently) a huge rivalry between Miata owners and Solstice/Sky owners. So, most of the time they reserve their hatred for that. But, since they went after a Toyota product in this thread, I had to post-up (I made a few posts). I tend to be non-confrontational in my posts, but I refuse to let someone spread a bunch of crap without making a comment (most of the time).

You mean those couple races each year where they're actually on a road race track, such that they have to turn both left and right? That's the only time I find them at all entertaining, and then they're still marginal compared to other racing series.

Before the solstice came out I knew there'd squabbling. I don't know so much about a "rivalry" per se, I mean the only thing keeping the Miata from being a completely chick car is that it's an absolute joy to drive. The solsitice/sky on the other hand has an actual vagina where you put the gas nozzel. And really, that makes it more of a pillow fight than a rivalry.

 

I hope one day NASCAR will introduce a Toyota into their stock car line up.
They once used the 07' Camry as a pace car.

 

Well, people probably don't think I'm more manly when they see me driving it; but I don't use cars for that.

Who cares? NASCAR was cool about 20 years ago when there we real cars and real personalities involved.

I just hope the Toyota NASCAR team does better than the Toyota F1 team.

Since all the cars are the same, it's all about who is better at cheating, something Toyota is pretty good at - see "1995 World Rally Championship"

I wonder if they will come out with a Camry Daytona edition?
