And the tC has got good crash ratings. He really must've been moving or trying to committ suicide or something...shame

Omg I heard about! One of my friends was saying something about wondering if they would get a new car and another said "if they're from around here, the definitely will!"<East Cobb Snobs> Anyway, I didn't see anything on the news to see that it was fatal... that's terrible! I think I heard the driver was 17 and it was a new car... don't hate me if it says that on th video. haven't watched it yet

The tC has great ratings but when you veer off the highway and roll into trees at God-knows-how-fast speeds, even someone is a Humvee could be seriously injured.

Told ya! 17 year old kid just got his new car and wanted to take his friends out... And the Barrett Parkway area is hell anyway whether you're on it or on 75 or 575 near it... always busy and always dumbasses driving fast and weavng (I have to admit I do this in the same area, but I sure as hell won't anymore!)

what the heck happened? This is sad, but it seems that whatever happened was the driver's fault, so although its still sad someone died, at least it wasn't a freak occurrence.

I wonder if he was racing someone or something... or had Potenzas (just kidding on that one...)

it was a 17 year old girl, and she was most likely trying to test the car to see how fast it would go since it was on the interstate at 11pm...

Huge assumption you're making... Granted she was young, and it was a new car however, you can't just make a generalization like that and call it a day.
What if an animal jumped in front of her?
What if her tire blew out after hitting an object in the road?

Wait until the facts come out. kthx.

What a terrible situation! Though we don't know what happened yet, I would have to agree with JulzRulz. Four people (at least two teens) late at night on the freeway with their new sporty coupe... The odds are against them.

If anything hopefully it teaches some of the local kids about auto safety. A couple of years ago a group of teens were killed in a similar situation here in Tucson and it shook up the entire city. I know a few teens who changed their driving habits after the fact, so hopefully the same will occur with this terrible situation (again, if the driver was at fault in this situation).

My condolences to the families.

wow...just got to see the latest video..
I'm speechless cause it looks just like my car.
its hard to think that people like to test things the way they do
i myself like to rent time at road atlanta to do my high speed stuff..
I just wish others would do the same.
There is absolutly no reason to try and test our cars out there on public roads
with so many other drivers.. Many things can go horribly wrong as did last night.
