Default A few Tc questions?

Hello, I just ordered a Scion Tc, and I have a few questions that I was unable to answer via part reviews ect.
1. Is the Bazooka 10" sub any good (judging from someone who has never had a "system" in their car before)?
2. Does the wind deflector problem effect the 2006 Tc?
3. What does the TRD exhaust sound like?
4. Anyone out there live in the Montana area?

Thank you to whoever can answer these questions.

1. It gives some good bump, but i wouldnt recomend showing it off or anything.. also you can get a nicer system then that one for the same price.
2. If you are going to be purchasing it then no, it only effected the early 2005 models, and 06 models. plus, any dealership that has a tC has already made the corrections necessary to fix the problem.
3. The TRD muffler sounds great, i used muffler because that is all it is.. it is not a cat back, it is only the muffler. i would also not recomend that because it sucks. it gives you a max of 5hp, and is retailed at 525. if you are to buy it, buy it from TRDSPARKS.COM, they have great prices.

I like the TRD exhuast. The sub is really not worth it though. The enclosure is kinda cool, but the sound is kinda lacking.

I think the sub was worth it, and sounds great. No people wont hear you from 5 blocks away, but it really fills the sound and gives a nice thud. While it is expensive, i was happier payin the money then having to f*** with installing my own.

3. What does the TRD exhaust sound like?

the TRD axle back sound amazing...its got a deep growl...but its not too loud. i love it.....n its not as restrictive as stock. the stock has 4 chamber and a huge spring loaded valve that exhaust gas has to push against in order to get out....stock sux...TRD hottness

well its your opinion because they way i see it, it does'nt have a "high pitch" at all...it has a low growl....anyway the question was regarding the TRD...so i added my two cents...i kno there are other exhaust systems that sound better, but i like the TRD...its looks and sounds....when did you hear a high pitch from the TRD....i dont hear it on my system. ...i dont know what the injen sounds like...but now that you mentioned it...i wanna hear one in person.

1. under the conditions you stated, the sub works great, and you get a nice box too, which is cool. I however am now wanting to looking for a sub to switch it out with, I want to keep the box.

2.I have not had a problem with my wind deflector/sunroof.

3.TRD exhuast is no where near high pitched. in fact from what I heard my TRD exhaust is a little deeper and a lot growlier than the injen exhaust. I love it.

When the TRD exhuast is new and not broken in it is a bit higher, but after it is broken in (about 2.5/3 weeks for me, shorter if you drive more), it sounds awesome. imo

dont get me wrong though, when and if I get to upgrade, injen is on the list of possibilities (though I would really like to just extend the TRD to a cat back with custom piping)

Here... Trust the Pro....

1. The tC subwoofer is overpriced and you can get a much better setup if you do it yourself and purchase seperate components.... You may have to sacrifice a little trunk space, as there are not too many custom boxes out there for the tC at a good price. Plus Bazooka is not recognized or respected as a sub manufacturer.... they are the payless of subs compared to ARC Audio, JL Audio, etc....

2. You have nothing to worry about on the deflector... the dealer/port has already fixed this before you get the car...

3. The TRD exhaust from the dealer is insanely overpriced for what it is... There are many better options online and available at your local performance shop... plus, if you want to add headers or make later mods, the TRD does not sound too chipper with them.... You can get a full catback or awesome axle-back exhaust for cheaper than the TRD sells for... And you'll get way more performance out of it... it sounds good stock, but it doesn't sound good enough for it's price point....

4. Sorry... Would love to live in Montana, as I hear you have some great straight roads to max out my car's speed on...
