Default FIG Grille Question

Hey scionlifers, i purchased a FIG grille off a person on clubsciontc; however i do not know of an instruction sheet or video to follow? Anyone know of a thread on this. I've been searching frantically, so before posting responses saying use the search button, lets just say did that for the past half hour. thx

Well, there's not really much to it. You just need to create a bunch of holes and use the zip ties. You have some freedom as to how many holes you choose to create and where you choose to put them. If I recall, I made about 12 holes for each grille (top and bottom). The whole process is much easier if you remove the bumper, but it can be done while keeping the bumper attached to the car if you want. If you do it that way, you have to start with the bottom grille, because you need to be able to reach your arm through the top grille space in order to fasten the zip ties to the bottom grille.

Took me about an hour and a half, if I recall. That's mainly because I didn't have a power drill, so I drilled the holes by hand. I also made a lot of fine adjustments. If you have the right tools then you could do it in under an hour.

No no no, in the bumper itself. When you remove the stock grilles, you will see that the grilles were held in place by molded plastic tabs which are part of the actual bumper. These tabs are a good place to start. You should drill a hole in the center of each tab, just wide enough to fit the zip-tie through. If you find that the tabs are spaced too far apart then you can improvise and create some extra holes around the rim of the grille opening. The holes will all be covered up by the grille anyway, so no one will see them.

Here's mine, for the record...

me and my dad did it in under an hour.
1) remove stock grille
2) insert fig grille and decide which holes the zip ties will go in and mark where the holes need to go on the tabs of the bumper
3)take fig grille out and drille holes on marks you made 1*th bit i believe
4) put fig grille back in and put zip ties on
