Default Finally all my TC problems fixed, finally happy

After having issues from day one with my car, taking it into the dealer more times than I can count, probably nearly 100 phone calls, emails, letters my TC problems are now fixed. Not only are they fixed, but I got a nice upgrade. More horsepower, better handling, better gasmileage, better headroom, nice seats, no rattles, no warping plasic, better brakes, cheaper insurance, better everything. I sold the TC and got a Acura Integra and couldn't be happier. There isn't one thing that the TC was better at that I used. TC had a bit more rear seat room, but other than that, the integra surpasses the TC by leaps and bounds. Not only that, but now I have $2000 in my pocket even after losing $4000 on a horrable mistake of buying a TC.

Just though y'all would like to know how I solved all my issues. I couldn't be happier now.

I figured you'd end up selling your car. How much did you sell your tC for?

Glad to see you got rid of your defective product though.

What other choice did I have? Sucks thats I lost a bunch of money, but rather get out of it now than later.

$16500. Some guy in Cali bought it.

well I'm sorry you were so dissapointed with the tC. Acuras are nice, altough you cant really compare the two since acura is hondas luxury division. It just seems like you got the sour grape out of the batch, I think scion should have just replaced ur tC

I'm guessing you got a GSR?

If so..a tC will still hang with a GSR heh..so it's not by anymeans quicker.

Only thing quicker would be a Type-R.

You shoulda just got your tC replaced by Scion.

No offense, but bad move.

To each his own though.

yeah the type R is an amazing car.. Honda pulled out everything for that one! i really don't think the tC is anywhere near the Type R.. the tC is nice, i have one.. but the type R is definitely the pinnacle of Honda's engineering.. the RSX isn't as good as the old Integra Type R.. even the Type S doesnt even seem to be as good as the old Type R..

Congrats Nick.. yeah that definitely sucked all the problems you had with that tC.. glad you're happy now..

yaaay now you have the most sought after ricer car on the planet!

sorry your tC was a dud, Scion should've done more no matter what, I'm sure a customer for life is more important than not... as they say, an unhappy customer tells 100 people about their problems.. a happy customer smiles.

just do the world a favor and don't add 400lbs of wheels and then -200lbs of carbon fiber with a 747 wing on the trunk and tell everybody how your 130lbs of torque let you crush that vette in your honda.

glad to hear your problems are fixed though, working in retail I can attest that sometimes, nobody will be happy... period. I would assume they could have given you a brand new tC with extra options and kept the same payments you have now and you'd still feel resentment towards the company... I probably would too, but please do everyone else a favor and don't let a lemon ruin your image of Scion... they're the best car line out there for what they are, and not many know about them, so if I was in your shoes and somebody asked me about it, I'd still recommend the tC...

I don't think I'd ever give my tc up for a teg... probably on rep alone even though a guy at my old job owned the same white R... they're good cars but hell, my mother-in-law is on her second honda odyssee because the first had major unrepairable transmission problems... and after 20k miles they're popping up again... and when the same problems come up again she's looking at a sienna.... sucks to lose so much on trade-ins for a manufacturers problem they're unwilling to warrant

btw, what #'s your car out of the set made?

The R is wonderful. Even though it has 90k miles, its in better shape than the TC. No rattles, less paint chips, and just plain solid.

#98-1075 is the number. Its not getting any major mods, nor raced. Its a daily driver and does a good job at that.

I know its not faster than the vette, cause I was driving the vette the other day.

Congrats on doing what makes you happy. There is always a time when you've got to cut your losses and start over. Too bad your TC was a POS. Regardless, enjoy the acura.

Exactly. If you had sold your tC and gotten a Lexus, you'd be just as impressed. Maybe more so.

Integras are great cars and I cant say I know what problems you had with your tC but if it was just some paint chips and some clicks and rattles I would have stuck with it. Not because integra isnt better but for the simple reason that the integra has 90k miles. I could be wrong but I'd guess the problems you'll end up having at 100k+ miles will cost much more then a new paint job or 100 more phone calls to Scion to fix your creaks.
