Default finally got my TRD exhaust installed

after the long wait from whatever caused the backorder (although, i do think the shortage of production probably made the most sense), I got it installed today. It exactly what I wanted and am very happy with it.

it has a deep growl which will get a little more deeper as you break it in, but it doesn't drone at all. granted, my tolerance for droney-ness might be a little better than some, but I've been in LOUD cars... like as if you might as well just have a hole in your engine... but this sounds perfect, not ricey (doesn't turn into a high pitched fart at high rpms). it almost reminds me of a 330Ci with sport package if that helps anyone.

as for difference in power, i won't say anything. i really don't know if i do FEEL a difference, or if i THINK i feel a difference. the sound does make driving a bit more exhilarating though.... ;)

lol, well i don't have access to a dyno... nor will i find time anytime soon to get to the nearest shop that has one. but if i do get a chance, i'll definitely get a dyno of the car WITH the exhaust at least (for the good of the forums ;) ). then someone will just have to post a stock dyno.

I installed mine tonight. It gives the car a whole new personality! I definitely do drive it a little harder than I did before. I love it.

i'd say any NORMAL driving below 3000 rpms you will hear the exhaust... I say normal, because if you open the throttle up, you obviously will hear it all throughout the band... but it's really a nice deep rumble. again, i've driven in LOUD cars giving me headaches and this is NOTHING like that... i said earlier that it reminds me of a 330Ci with sport package. just a deep growl present.

after 3000 rpms & highway cruising speeds (constant speed) it quiets down alot. NO drone. sometimes I'll just mash the pedal a bit to make sure it's there ;)

all in all, i love it. it's perfect for me.
