Default First fatal accident in a tC?

I haven't heard of any fatal accidents before in a tC, but I was just shown this article.

It happened in Orlando, FL. The driver was 17. The tC was sandwiched between a bus and a truck. The truck was carrying carpeting, so you know it was heavy... just... wow.

Thoughts?

Oops... I don't look in off topic... It's meant to be in the tC forums though - I want to know if there have been any fatal accidents before.

There was one in WA state a few months ago, it was really bad I think 3 or 4 people died. I will see if I can find the thread.

Yup gas door on the passenger side is a dead give away, but the rims make it look like a tC.

whats even funnier is that in the article its says the "Dodge Neon" was hit from behind by the white truck then goes on to say that the driver of the truck never saw the "Scion"....doh!!! But weather or not what it was, that still sucks that had to happen....some people just don't pay attention while they drive.

150,000 tC's have been sold in over two years and you think this is the first fatal accident involving one?

The cars are really well built. Go run your tC into a wall sometime.
the wreckedscions website shows some really bad incidents, a couple of them HAD to be fatal

that's crazy... I almost ran into someone yesterday, some idiot yapping on his cell and braking at the last SECOND to avoid someone that was turning in front of him

this is why I follow pretty far behind people... it ____es off people behind me, but hey, I'm not the one who'll end up in someone's backseat and points on my license and really expensive insurance

and possibly a lost life

I saw this article in the paper, and it said Dodge Neon, but They looked like tC rims to me.

Did she say Scion enough on the video? Somebody should write them and tell them it is a dodge.

Freakin ___ hole couldnt pay attention. He should be charged and serve jail time.

You should also be required to get a higher class drivers licence for big trucks and heavy vehicles that are used for commercial purposes.

Yeah definitely looks like a Neon with Scion tC rims... given the "TuneR" sticker on the side, I wouldn't doubt it.

1. Scion tCs do not come in green.
2. No glass roof.
3. Somehow I doubt the tC would just fold up like that unless it was hit by an 18 wheeler. A Dodge Neon I could believe however.

The news people are just dumb. The car was so badly mangled all they could probably use to identify the car was the Scion center caps. The person who wrote the article probably later learned it was in fact a Dodge Neon and corrected it.

Anyway, that really sucks and should teach us all to not take life for granted for it can be taken away from us in a split second. God rest his soul.
