I haven't heard of any fatal accidents before in a tC, but I was just shown this article.
It happened in Orlando, FL. The driver was 17. The tC was sandwiched between a bus and a truck. The truck was carrying carpeting, so you know it was heavy... just... wow.

Waitaminute... i'm looking at the pics and video closely...... there's no way that's a tC. Metal roof, gas tank door on the PASSENGER side.... that was a neon all the way. *(@&)*&$

whats even funnier is that in the article its says the "Dodge Neon" was hit from behind by the white truck then goes on to say that the driver of the truck never saw the "Scion"....doh!!! But weather or not what it was, that still sucks that had to happen....some people just don't pay attention while they drive.
Hmmm...in the video, they said "the green scion". Weird... in the text, its a neon.

that's crazy... I almost ran into someone yesterday, some idiot yapping on his cell and braking at the last SECOND to avoid someone that was turning in front of him
this is why I follow pretty far behind people... it ____es off people behind me, but hey, I'm not the one who'll end up in someone's backseat and points on my license and really expensive insurance
and possibly a lost life

Freakin ___ hole couldnt pay attention. He should be charged and serve jail time.
You should also be required to get a higher class drivers licence for big trucks and heavy vehicles that are used for commercial purposes.

Yeah definitely looks like a Neon with Scion tC rims... given the "TuneR" sticker on the side, I wouldn't doubt it.
1. Scion tCs do not come in green.
2. No glass roof.
3. Somehow I doubt the tC would just fold up like that unless it was hit by an 18 wheeler. A Dodge Neon I could believe however.
The news people are just dumb. The car was so badly mangled all they could probably use to identify the car was the Scion center caps. The person who wrote the article probably later learned it was in fact a Dodge Neon and corrected it.
Anyway, that really sucks and should teach us all to not take life for granted for it can be taken away from us in a split second. God rest his soul.
