Default First mini-mod for tC

Its not much of a mod, but it made my car look a lot cooler! haha, since there are three bulbs in the front, there are 18 LED's lighting up the front. (each bulb has a total of 6 LED's on them. ) I bought my LEDs @ www.superbrightleds.com. Its the best price i found them. If you guys want to know what kind of LED's to buy just pop me a PM. I changed the map lights, and the front and back dome lights. I couldnt do the Trunk light, messed up on buying the size for that and now the trunk light is just messed up. Anyways. Enjoy!

And for kicks, my dogs started taking naps our living room TV stand.. haha
(BTW im not buddhist if you guys were wondering, every chinese house has a fat buddha statue)

i did the same thing with my car. i did ultra white. they are 194 wedge bulbs. i used them for my running/parking lights and my reverse lights too. :D
same website.

http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm
scroll down on that page and get these ones: WLED-x6 LED Wedge Base Bulbs.

side note: the single LED wedge bulb for ultra white has kinda a purpleish tint to it... so dont get that even tho its cheaper. go with the ones that have 4 or 6 LED's in em.

Hey can you guys edit out the [img] tags in your quotes. There is no point in spamming the pictures like 20 times.

That looks pretty good... can you post the sizes and types of bulbs needed to do this? So basically it's just a simple swap of bulbs....no work required like doing the dashboard right?

How is the effect? is it pretty subdued and chill or is it bright? it looks pretty mellow to me...

It really easy to get out, you just cant be scared to use brute force and force it off. I basically used a flat head screw driver, popped it open a little, and then stuck my hands in there and pulled it right off. The glass part is even easier. Its acctually not really as mellow as it looks, its acctually pretty bright, i think super white would be nice also. Ill post a tutorial tomorrow for you guys interested since i am getting a lot of PMs on it. Well if you guys want to order the LEDs...heres the links. (they ran out of blue, i think my friend and i order them dry haha) Anyways here..

For the back Dome lights, you want to order one of these:
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...6.2346&next=50

3022-4 LED Festoon bulb
30x10mm (1.181 inches long)12 VDC Festoon Base Bulb with 4 LEDS
Available in White,Blue,Green,Red,Amber and UV LED
$ 1.89

For the front three map lights and front dome you want to order 3 of these:
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...06.2346&next=0

WLED-6 LED bulb
12 VDC 6-LED Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type)
Our brightest bulb of this type
Non Polarized

$ 2.99

Teh tutorial will be up later i guess on how to take off the lights. Enjoy! Be sure to check again tomorrow. I think there are other bulbs that work with it, but it seems to me these fit for me.

Just wondering...

Is the light they put out bright enough to read. I'm pretty sure the super white would be, but the darker colors??? Also, anyone with any experience with the amber? I was thinking of trying it out since I have the amber kit underneath, but I would hate to contrast if the ambers aren't the same...The blue does look fresh though!

Cool...since they are so cheap, I'll order a bunch of colors and play around a bit until I find a combo that looks nice. As long as I can still see things, it will be fun to experiment.
