Default first post, question for blue TC owners

hey yall, I've been readin the forums for months, but decided to finally post. I had 2 TCs actually (one my girls) blue and a red one, but she recently traded hers in for a Subaru Forester (ugh!), i wanted to take a dual picture, but dont matter hers was an auto neway, i got a standard...

so heres my question... especially to all the blue TC owners out there, wut kinda rims u think look the best on blue TCs? i dont think gold matches, but I havent seen too many good lookin rims that go well wif blue cars... so wutchall think?? any pics blue TCs?

Personaly I was going to powdercoat mine dark gold, or maybe a deep dark bronze.
I love it, esp on a darker color blue car. Like my scion tc.

Which blue? The '05 Indigo Ink Pearl color, or the '06+ Nautical blue? A lot of people like gold or bronze wheels with blue. I personally don't. For me, black wheels with a polished or machined lip on NB looks GREAT (That's what i roll with).

If that's too dark for you, go with silver, gunmetal, or hyper dark.

haha! I like your user name!
anyhow, whatever you choose, try not to go with too light of a color.

I actually like the way blue and gold/bronze look together.

and yea under certain lighting conditions IIP and NBM look very different. NBM stays dark where IIP would go very light.

I for one didn't much enjoy black rims on a dark blue car. i went with silver.

but heres a thread that is full of pictures of IIP tCs and rimsthe owners went with.

Ideally, I'd go for a dark silver ("hyperblack" to some wheel manufacturers) with a nice polished-silver lip. I'm not a huge fan of black or gold/bronze wheels on the blue.

White. white hands down takes the cake in my book. well black with polished lip is pretty sekky too. but depending on the rim itself aslong as the spoke isn't to wide white looks damn sexy. but finding the right width spoke is the hard part.

I personally don't like dark rims on dark cars. I have a 2005 IIP and I think hyper light or silver looks good, although I'm diggin the bronze look too. I just think the bronze look seems like your trying to look like a wrx. I personally just ordered my rims in silver, as soon as I get them I will post some pictures in here.

hey now i dont like all dark rims on all dark cars. black on black is just plain sex.

but if/when i got a change out set of rims, i want them to be 17" gold/bronze or white.

i wonder... has anyone had the stocks painted/coated any of those colors.... i might just go take a visit to my powdercoaters with my stocks, might as well honor them by giving them a second life.... and it would also give me a good reason why they need to stay in the garage and not in storage....

I actually like the Mustangs aftermarket rims in dark gray on a tC.

If it fits, then I'd get 18's in a heartbeat.

well if you are taking pics...it really doesn't matter if it is stick or auto, when you are talking about the 2 colors....
