So the school year is finally coming to an end and I am looking for a couple projects to keep me occupied over the next few months.

One thing I want to do is some modification to my Xbox 360. My great idea so far is to paint the entire case(not just the faceplate) the same color as my tC, which is Flint Mica.

The problem is that I don't know how to get that "sparkle" effect you can see when the paint is clean and you look really close.

Can I buy spray cans of "flint Mica" spay on the primer before I appy a clear coat? Or would I need to apply different types of paint on top of each other or get a mix at Lowes?

Can anybody help me with this? If not with the color, what brands of paint I should use or any other usefull pieces of advice would be greatly apreciated.

 

check autozone...they have a few colors close to flint mica.

if you really want to get the closest match to FM, check paintscratch.com, but it will cost you more.

but some duplicolor paint should do the trick..

 

Just get an XBOX 360 Elite like I did since my original one DIED. Its already a dark gray/black color or just do what the others said. You can also find pre made cases on some xbox mod sites that are pretty close to flint mica for $25.00. good luck

I would buy an Elite, exept that it's not worth paying another $600 for something that is essentially the same thing
