Are the TYC LED's the only aftermarket tail lights that are available for the tC?

Welcome!
I'd check to see if the smoked lights might cause you legal troubles. I just got nailed for tint on Friday night, and I bet smoked tails are trouble - at least in some places.
I like the TYC - that's what I'm going to get.
One other thing, smoking the tails might make getting hit from behind more of a reality, and it may land you in legal trouble too - check on it before you do it.

Again, welcome, and keep away from Dave - he's a "wedding crasher"

Good call on the tail lights, Scott. Thanks for the tip! How much was your ticket for the tint? I'd really like to have it done soon. I think the law recently changed to 50% in VA, but that's so light that I'm not sure if it'd even be worth it. How dark was your tint? Do you think that 50% is better than nothing, or should I not even bother?

Hmm, should I be nervous about wedding crasher Dave?

50% to me doesnt seem worth it. the limit in oregon is 35% and i still think 35 is too light. im probably going 25-30, not sure i'd have to see them both...but yeah 50% doesnt seem worth it to me.

welcome to the party, hope you enjoy your tC

LOL - yeah, keep your distance...

As for tint, I would do that back three windows and think about the front two later. They actually have to pull off the door panels to do the fronts right (in order to get the tint below the rubber strips) and it cost me extra.
I got a 32% which is a medium-dark tint, and it looks good.
I don't know yet how much the ticket will cost me - I'll find out in May.
PITA, and I never thought I'd get pulled over for that.

LOL! Boys, boys, don't fight over me now... ;)

I don't have any major performance mods planned for my car yet... maybe springs in the next few months, but I'm not too sure yet. If I lower the car, is it necessary to do a ton of other work to the suspension? Seems like an expensive endeavor just to close up a few inches of wheel well gap.

No lie she it pretty!

What type of springs are you gonna get? If you go with TRD you should be kool! Anything else then you might want to consider new shocks or coilovers! What do you think?

you can do just the springs, but over time your gonna wanna get new stuts. i have the hotckis springs and i love them. a friend of mine has the tein H-techs and loves those. my drop is lower than the htechs, but the tein stechs are lower than mine. another friend of mine has the stechs and his car is wicked low. a nice drop thats not too low is the TRD drop. i dont think youd have any problems with them, but if you decide to get Hotckis or Teins. get them from ShowstoppersUSA (websites in my sig). they are awesome guys, and have free shipping on everything in the store.

as for the expensive comment my springs cost me $144 and i installed them myself (such a pain in the ___), but install could run anywhere from 150+ hopefully you can find a lower price than that.

and lol at the fighting comment.

Stu, don't you give them any bad ideas about me!

Thanks for the info on the springs. I assumed it was more expensive because the dealer quoted me at $800 or so for the TRD springs and install, but you're right, I'm sure I can have it done cheaper elsewhere. I think I might do it!

please for the love of god do not let the dealer install them! The only thing i would go to the dealer for is the "FREE" oil changes and warranty problems!

I would call around your area and get some quotes! Im not trying to be a jerk but since your a girl and some guys will "think" you dont know what you'r talking about spring install they would quote you around $200 or more? Dont do it! Just laugh in there face!

If you get a quote around $100-150 then its good! Hey i bet if you go over to the place they might do it for free!~~
