Default Foretwoone's Photoshoot + Heatshield Polish (56k go away!!)

You can see i only polished the top part so far. Gotta have a cig break then back to it.

Fuzzy camera, sorry. This is what i've been using, its a paste not a liquid, and its very easy to work with. Liquids are typically messy.

Not really sure how well this will come out but it looks better than the crummy silver.

All you really need is a bunch of old rags or shirts. There should be enough room to reach the whole heatshield even with it on. If you want to take it off theres only a few bolts holding it on(4 i think). Use quarter sized globs at a time and just rub like hell for 30 seconds, flip and wipe, repeat. Do a small section at a time, if you try to tackle the whole thing you wont get anywhere and probably just get discouraged. I might run out to get a buffing ball because my arm nearly fell off, so thats another option if you have the cash.

If you do it show some pics, im interested to see just how shiney this thing can get.

Hehehe i know, the rubbing takes a while for it to look good... I did it on my greddy radiator panel (chrome one) and it took me a good hr or so to get it shiny, still couldn't get to all the corners but it worked.... Ill make sure to take a pic of it when i have the time to do it....

The heat shield will hold the shine for about 3 months inbetween polishing......mine is sitting in the shed the last 6 months now and it still looks like a mirror....

They were my neighbors led's. He bought them for his altima and didnt fit so he gave em to me. Only reason i like them is because it matches the HID's.
