Just wondering what I exactly have to do to get my free 3 months of XM radio that is supposed to come with my tc since it is a 2.0 release.

Anyone else ever get it hooked up. I have the code from the radio and I have the promo code but it will not work. The dealer is not really helping much.

Any other 2.0 guys out there that have been through this?

call the 800 number, give them radio ID, they'll get some info from you, NO CREDIT CARD required, wait 10 minutes and you'll be up and running.

I probably won't keep mine, it'll expire in a couple of weeks. There are still commercials damn it! I hate public radio because of commercials, now XM has commercials too, and I'll be paying for it? No thanks.

I know the music channels don't, but I like listening to the talk shows and they still HAVE COMMERCIALS. Screw it.

I hooked mine up and they asked me for my credit card #
I said no but they connected anyway.
It took a further 2 months to disconnect it as their customer service sucks.(BTW THEY OFFERED ME A YEAR HALFPRICE TO STAY)
So I actually got 5 months free.
But seriously they suck at getting your billing right I had it on my last tC and I changed bank accounts for bills and sent in the forms twice and they still billed the wrong account so dont give them any CC info.

 

Does Sirius have commercials with their talk shows?

Yes. Sirius does have commercials on their talk shows. Its obviously not as much as open air talk shows but I doubt its any different than XM.

Or maybe its just those damn right wingers...they can never get anything right.

 

I actually tried to listen to the looney left stations and I gotta say there's more life into Tookie's body now than those stations.

Anyways, I don't think I'd get Sirius... I'd have to buy the equipment and all of the dongles just to listen to it.

I'll stick with my ipod.

 

where did you get the promo code? i never even got one, just the radio ID. i called xm and they said my radio id was not registered. what the hell am i supposed to do???!!!

 

You don't need a promo code. Your radio ID should be in their database and they should be aware that they sold that ID to Toyota to be installed on the tC.

Just tell the operator that you bought the car new, give your ID, (and if it has NEVER been registered) you should be activated within minutes.

If you can't get "help", ask for a supervisor. Those techs are normally somewhere in India or Asia, where their English isn't actually great. Usually, when you ask for a supervisor, you get transfered to someone in the U.S., who may speak more fluent English.

well, m getting my FM in a couple of days...my dealer has this promo of 9 mos. free Sirius....wanted Xm tho but i guess Sirius is good too (ey, it's free!) nweiz, i guess i'll find out in a couple of days or so....hope i wont run into any problems....

I must say after having my free XM for 2 months I am glad it's "free". Personally I think it stinks. Sound quality is not clear, sounds monotone and when I am in the garage or anyother building similar NO SIGNAL. Thanks anyway but pass the cd case please! lol
