Hey guys, i recently boosted my scion tC and then i decided to take it all off and sell all the parts I have, so if your looking for boost parts ill sell them a little cheaper then retail price!!

so anyway, The only thing i kept from the boost build is the Fuel Pump. So now I have my stock air filter box hooked up to my TB.. I have 4-1 Race Headers.. recently when I was driving first I heard pops in my exhaust and everytime i shifted i'd hear a pop but that randomly stopped after awhile, but now wen im driving about over 25-30mph.. ill hear some weird air shhwwssshhh noise coming from what sounds like my engine bay area... when im accelerating the noise stops.. its once i let off the throttle I hear it..

anyone know what this could be caused by?

 

BTW.. Some of my wheelwell is cut so im thinking maybe im just hearing air shooting out of my where my wheel well would be? The motor sounds healthy, running just as good as it was before boost.. so I doubt it has anything to do with motorwork

 

It could be cause it's running to rich, causing the popping noise, more known as backfire. Don't quote me on this, but I think it's your fuel pump.

 

Im not sure because for a day and a half i had no noise.. then i heard my tire hitting the wheel well and starting ripping it a part.. then out of no where i started hearing the whistle kinda noise that kinda was like swahhhwsseehhhe.

 

Are you sure it's not just the intake? The stock air box kinda makes noise.

 

Ya it could be your intake box. It could be a vacuum leak to. Do you hear it at a stop to?
