Default future of tC?

hey guys. I havent been on this site for about two years (I was on here alot back in '04 when the tC was brand new) but anyway I've got a question someone could probably answer. I'm gonna be in college for the next few years so I wont need a car, but when I get finished around 2010 or 11, will there still be the tC? or are they going to replace it by then. Also how are the current models compared to the very first ones?

I know my question is very vague and almost anything is possible, but I am also trying to start back in these forums. I've liked the tC for a long time and really want to own one someday, I just hope the thing is still around and doesnt change very much.

They will likely be doing something in the next couple of years... either refreshing the design or replacing the model. Absolutely no one knows yet for sure. Hopefully we'll know next year one way or another... but even the time frame is unknown.

As for the current models... well, there have been minor changes here and there... the biggest changes with the 2008 are the headlights, grille, and taillights. There are plenty of threads on the specifics of each though.

Well the 08s had a couple minor things refreshed, but I'm thinking more like the 06 xB to the 08 xB as a "refresh."

usually a refresh are a couple cosmetic changes that are done a couple years into the new model, such as the accord tails changing in 05, the tc just went through a refresh change of tails, headlights and grills. the 08 xB is a completely new model and not considered a refresh (at least i don't think so).

I hope the 08 is the last year of the tC. (for now).
they should introduce a tC2 in 2010. (or the tC3, with a 3.0 4 cyl).
Id like to see a 4 door "sport" sedan, like the DL they had as a concept.

If scion made a 4 door, more traditional sports sedan like the TSX or civic SI 4 door or the mazda 6, id sell my work car in a heartbeat.

If they made that they likely wouldn't be able to keep it under $20k like they want to, since our little 2 door economy car is quickly approaching $18k after destination (or more for an auto).

i wouldnt say all that. the tC and xB are their best sellers. I would assume they would redeisgn the tC like they did with the xB. not trash it

At the very least they would redesign the body and rebadge it, like they did the xD.

...Can anyone explain to me why the new xB looks completely different and it has the same badging, yet the xA became the xD?

Ive been doing some research and according to a lot of sites! There will be a redesigned Tc for the 2009 year, or 2010! Supposedly it will barrow some concepts from the fuse, "but not so drastic"! Also. Scion is (supposedly) thinking of making a racing scion, but the TC is a sports car, so there might be a XR, or a TC-R, and the engine should be upgraded cause they did in the new XB's and if its designed to race it better be pushing at least 200 hp!

I dont think it will be discountinued for a while! The Tc is somewhat like an iphone, what other car looks like it, not including the cheap tiburon! In its price range! I think itll have a long life....at least 3 generations!

Cant wait to see the new design though!!! Im excited, if it looks better ill trade in for the new one, especially if it has a stronger engine!

My predictions is that itll look a little more like a g35 coupe, which is practically a coupeier TC! With an beautiful engine!!!!!

They also better upgrade the speakers, Ive blown my 160 watts out already! 300 is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol

Dont hold me accountable, go look for yourself, Im sure you will find something along the lines of what I have stated!

^^This is how you impress all the girls in West Virginia.

Try not to burn your trailer park down while you're toking up. And be careful in the coal mines.
